Actually there was some research done a while back about something vaguely similar. A urinal company found that by giving people a tiny fly chipped and inked into the porcelain to aim at, the amount of spillage was reduced by something like 80%. I may be misremembering the exact values.
I'd not be surprised if this ended up being similar.
