[sp]I post this here because I couldn't think of another place to put it[/sp]
Lets keep this simple.
Newsmap is probably the best visual news reader out there.
Why? Because it looks like this:

It colour codes the news into sections of WORLD, NATIONAL, BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY, SPORTS, ENTERTAINMENT, and HEALTH
You can choose any of these, or a mixture, or all of these to be displayed at any one time.
This site actually pulls its sources from Google Reader, and the size of its 'block' will tell you how popular it is. The darker a block, the older a news story.
You can also choose between different countries news outlets (also usually changes the languages of the news), or choose multiple coutries at once. For example, U.S. usually features CNN, The New York Times, etc., while GERMANY will feature der Standard and Spiegel Online. Selecting both U.S. and Germany would give you a mix, although usually U.S. tends to block out most other countries, forcing them into smaller 'blocks'. Still, it's nice to be able to choose.
Honestly, this is my favourite homepage I have ever had. It keeps me up to date on the news, is fast to load, and I don't have to trawl through multiple websites to get my fix.
Do any of you use Newsmap?
Sorry if this is late, but its a great site that I thought I should share.
Wow, that's really cool.
"australian interest rates rise to 4.25"
I wasn't even aware of this, google tells me it's at 4.75% now
This will definitely be useful
I've added this to my daily visits quite a while ago and I'm very satisfied with it.
However, there is one bug to mention: About every third day, there's at least one block with messed up text in it, probably caused by the layout itself (it's the formatting, not the content).
looks cool, may have to try this out
Looks awesome.

Elaborate?
As in, incorrect spelling, or the text flows out of the box, or what?
I haven't noticed any problems with it...

Damn that's really nice. Wish my monitor was that good!
Very awesome. My homepage has always just been Google but I suppose it's time to try something new.
