We the People: General Thread

We the People is the white house's new "thing".

It allows, you, the people, to create and sign petitions. If a petition gets 5000 signatures within 30 days, it gets shown to the administration.

There are already a few petitions out there, but creating more is nice, and signing more is great as well.
Post interesting petitions, and sign as many as you'd feel like.

Edit: Do note that petitions aren't immediately visible on the main hub. I suspect there's either an approval process or a required number of votes for such a thing.

the government will just explain why things are the way they are. ie they'll spout out the same false information on pot they always have when questioned about it. stuff like that.

Honestly, they'll probably increase the minimum signatures since a petition just got to 5k in probably just a couple hours.

I do hope that this will bring about a bit of change, but it really probably won't. Marijuana legalization has been a huge issue for a long time now, and just a petition alone most likely won't change jack.

I am a terrible writer. But please, Facepunch! This is really important! Refusing to raise taxes for the rich does not make any sense. Letting the poor have more of the burden is class warfare! Of course I would not say something so extreme on the actual petition, but please sign.

I've seen alot of petitions about marijuana on other sites that did jack shit but hopefully, since this one is on an official white house site on which they promised to respond to popular petitions, this will make some progress.
