"Give me money or I'll fuck up your business! Girl power! Yaaaaay~!"
The whole "It's more expensive to be a woman!" line sounds to me like "It's more expensive to live in luxury!" given the rest of the ad.
I have faith in people seeing this as the transparent marketing decision it is and not be taking it on as some first step in a brighter future. People aren't that dumb are they?

most women aren't angry about it because they're not going to wreck their workplace and lose their jobs over it because most women aren't fucking stupid

I'm pretty sure damaging someone's car isn't a great way to get more pay, after paying off repair costs and any other legal costs and what not.
to be fair i can totally agree with this my fiancee is pretty low maintenance and everything she does by default costs more just for her existence. i can use the same one-pack of razors for a whole year, but she'll go through 5 packs because that also includes full-body shaving, for instance. or i can use a bottle of conditioner/shampoo for a year, but she'll go through one a month. etc. also the coffee hitting the guy in the face got me pretty good [editline]28th April 2017[/editline]
I'm pretty sure damaging someone's car isn't a great way to get more pay, after paying off repair costs and any other legal costs and what not.
i'm pretty sure they're not actually encouraging people to kick mugs at their boss, the same way you dont expect old spice to actually turn you into a gold statue of sexiness people who disagree/dumb this post, please consider quoting this and offer a counterpoint as to why, so i can at least see your perspective on it

However, that shouldn't be a point used by this honestly awful ad. This ad brings up the common stereotype of women being materialistic and self-conscious in terms of "fashion" to support their weak claim of women needing a higher wage than men. There's a difference between fashion and hygiene, your point of women's hygiene is true, but it doesn't apply to this commercial's original point nor it works as an argument as to why women should be paid more just because of hygiene.

Let me tell you what I use my bonus money for -- I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

It makes it seem like they need more money because they want to afford nicer things, which isn't that surprising considering it's an advert by a clothing company.

There is an argument to be had when we're talking about hygiene products and all that shit. But where you fall on that is irrelevant because the ad goes on to talk about shoes and underwear. The ad seems to think that buying Armani shoes and underwear exclusively at Victorias Secret is required, expensive hair salon visits are a necessity, saying that fashion is a requirement for just getting by. What a load of shit. I like all these things! They're great. But I can live just fine without them and often do.
This feels like the kind of ad no one will like.
the same way you dont expect old spice to actually turn you into a gold statue of sexiness
W-what do you mean by this? :disappoint: my life is a LIE
This ad makes women's rights seem like a cheap marketing gimmick to push their stupid expensive product. It's basically insulting everyone with and without any basic intellectual capability all at once. The only people this doesn't insult are whatever hybrids exist between stereotype fashionista-cult-member #243 and stereotype tumblr-"ESS JAEY DUB-YOO" #56 because they're the only sub-set of people dumb enough to believe this shlock.
You know, women don't have to buy 'womens' clothing like dresses and high heels you can just, not buy those things and go with cheaper alternatives
You know, women don't have to buy 'womens' clothing like dresses and high heels you can just, not buy those things and go with cheaper alternatives
Well the thing is, these things don't have to be expensive. Shop around like you would with anything else and you can find these things don't have to be crazy priced. With stuff as common as clothes, there's always a way.
You know, women don't have to buy 'womens' clothing like dresses and high heels you can just, not buy those things and go with cheaper alternatives
Not only this, but you can get these same nice products for less if you don't buy into fashion branding. The only thing that's 200% bullshit about price is the difference between men's and women's cleaning products. Same exact razors, higher cost because "female razor". Or how expensive pads or tampons are, jesus christ they're expensive.
"equality isn't enough" soooo.... asking for inequality? Where is antifa when you need them
Making campaigns with violent outbursts and targeting another sex is not a good way to get equal pay.

If the razors are the exact same what is stopping women from buying and using them? Same case with soaps and shampoos and all that other stuff. Tampons and pads tho, yeah that shit is expensive.

ironic that the narrator is probably french "women take care of theirselves more"
the women's shoes on their site cost more than the men's [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/YctN5zY.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6rNYxkY.png[/thumb] lol

She uses more shampoo/conditioner likely because her hair is longer than most men's, which is a style choice she's entirely in control of. Men with long hair use a ton of shampoo/conditioner as well. imo all the "it costs more to be a woman" stuff usually boils down to women buying "women's" products that are more expensive but yield no functional benefit over a cheap "men's" product, which I don't really have any sympathy for. If you're tired of buying expensive pink razors, buy a cheap blue one.

Men razors are made for rough skin, Women razors are made for softer skin, and even then, there is more to it.
I didn't get at all what they were trying to sell, but it seems they wanted to piss of literally everyone.
