• KJ Beretta M92 or something else

When celebrating my 18th birthday last friday with my 2 best friends. One of them gave me his old KJ M92 for a b-day present. So the gun is adjusted for lefty use and on sunday I decided to change it back to right handed. When doing it I f'd up in some parts and lost a small clip from the gun. It was a minor setback. But the bigger setback was that when I started screwing the gun back together the plastic of the main frame around the brass shell for the screw for the grips sides crumbled. Then I decided to dis-assembled the whole gun go see what was missing. On monday I went to my friends brother who had the same kind of M92 which was broken and asked if I could get the piece that was missing from me. And so I got it. I went back home and assembled the gun and put the missing piece back where it belongs. But the sides on the grip where too loose due to being broken to support the clip that keeps the firing lever thingy (not the trigger) on track. I ask my dad to glue it and we let it dry overnight. Tuesday, I come home from school and assemble the gun. I start firing dry shots (withouth gas) to see how the mechanism works. It works sometimes well, but it has a lot of events where it doesn't pull the hammer back or just pulls it halfway and stops. Wednessday, nothing. Thursday, I ask my dad to get some mags for the gun (since the one I got is broken). I go to school and come home. Start doing some dry shots with the gun for more reliability checks and the small clip inside jumps of its place. I open the right side of then gun and put the clip back and screw the side cover back. But this time the lower side crumbles when I'm screwing it back on. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUCK!!! Now I've gotta contact my dad before he buys those mags and then think about just forgetting about the whole thing or taking 70€ and buying a new one. (which hopefully wouldn't be suffering from aged plastic) or buying a KJ G23 instead and hope that it doesn't suffer from the same manufacturing error as the M92.
Just get a different gun. Never heard of KJ, either. I would go for another brand if their guns crumble.
Another suggestion would be KWC Sig P226 [editline]24th March 2011[/editline] I changed my mind about the Sig. It has a 14 round mag and it's only 250 fps / 78 m/s The KJ G23 is built differently than the M92 so it shouldn't have the same structural flaw. [editline]24th March 2011[/editline] I will just buy another KJ M92 since my dad bough the mag allready. I tried the gun with the working mag and it sounded somewhat like this: Click, click, click, plop! All this trouble for a gun that was allready broken internally.
Just get a different gun. Never heard of KJ, either. Their full name is KJW and most overseas retailers should have at least a few of their guns. Anyways here's how it works. KJW makes good Baretta models, but shit everything else. Their USP line is worthless and their Glock line is questionable at best. Their Sig Sauer guns are fricking sweet until they break, much like the USP series which is great until your mag starts leaking irreparably, your slide catch breaks and your trigger snaps off. I think M9s are boring and I'd rather have a WA, but whatever floats your boat. You probably just got a lemon, most people actually really like the M9 series they make and generally never have any problems. Also FPS=/=quality or range. All that ever meant to me was how much it hurts when you get shot. A 290FPS Toyko Marui M4 will likely have much better range and accuracy than an APS (A-Piece of-Shit more like) M4 from china would even if it's hammering out 410 FPS. I'd say go with KSC or TM, it's really worth it to save up. Every cheap sidearm I've ever had disappointed me, so I'm inclined to spend a few extra weeks or months saving for something that doesn't suck. EDIT: Please, at least save up for a gun with a metal frame. Unless it's a KSC/KWA Glock, the plastic is just not going to do very well.
My dad allready bought me a mag for that M9 so I think that I will settle with buying myself another KJW M9. The full metal version of the KJW M9 is 60€ more expensive then the plastic one. Perhaps I should wait untill birthday money flows in and then decide between the metal and plastic version.
Ohhh, KJW. OP just said KJ.
Yeah, my bad. Kuan Ju (Works) shortened both as KJ and KJW. I've dual wielded those KJW M92's and it's hella nice. Really nice gun allthough the one I got from my friend was kaputt.
Please go to the questions thread. KWC is bad also, stay away unless it's for a CO2 NBB. If you want a Sig, the KJW is a good bet.

It seems like I'm going for a metallic version of the KJW M92, since it won't have the same problems as plastic one (fragile frame).
Always go full metal whenever possible. For $100 pistols, if you want an M9, go KJW. For a 1911 go WE, and for a Sig Sauer go KJW.
Unless you want a sig pro, then go KWA and replace the recoil spring
KJW SUCKS. Their mags fail (gas leaks out) after maybe 100 rounds. Do not buy KJW. I had a P226 and while the gun was alright, the mags are total garbage and cost $30 each. Plus you can only get KJW mags and they only sell from overseas places with ridiculous shipping. If you want a gas gun, get KWA. KWA is really high quality, their NS2 gas system is very efficient and reliable (you can get up to 3 mags worth of shooting from one load of gas), and they have support people/employees in America who speak proper English. Plus they have good warranties and service. I have a KWA M93R and a KWA MP9, both have been absolutely flawless and have very good accuracy/hop-up. They're not significantly more expensive than a KJW or other budget GBB but you end up saving money because you don't have to buy new mags every week. The M93R was $160 and the MP9 was $190. They make an M9/92FS as well and it's very good.
woah no the KJW Xcellerator I had was awesome, and the KJW M1911A1 I had vefore that was awesome.
then you probably never actually used them, or the mags would've failed
then you probably never actually used them, or the mags would've failed
I think I would know if I actually used them? Penis, bro, i love you but KJW is not as bad as you think.
KJW 226 mags are pretty bad. Rest of KJW isn't too shabby though.
A ton of people out here use KJW pistols cause they're one of the only cansoft pistols ATM, and I never hear anything bad about them. The KJW GBBR M4 is quite decent as well.
I have a KJW Glock 23. After something like five years it's still working perfectly fine.

The worst thing about KJW's mags is that they're not idiot proof, you have to fill them right or else they will develop a leak, because they don't expel excess gas. [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] KWA is definitely higher quality, though in Slovenia the mag situation is reversed, I'd have to ship in mags for a sig pro while I can buy them in a store for a KJW 226
So is the right way to fill them that you don't fill them all the way?
around 2-3 seconds, same as other mags

I don't. It's pretty entertaining.
I hate when kids named FPKawaii post
Your post wasn't exactly ass pull free either. Not everyone has to order KJW mags, I have yet to get a leak on mine and also, I wonder where you would find gas magazines that cost less than 30 and aren't shit.
Can we please let this thread die?
This thread should definately die since I bought a KJW 1911.

What mags are you buying for it? I have yet to find an alternate for my 226.
