Since, apparently, my other thread was a "Dumb thread" I apologize, for that, so let me try to be more clear.
I'm having an argument with my friend who claims he has ADD and he wants Addarall to help him with his big struggle.
The symptoms he states he has is:
* Procrastinate
* lose and forget things a lot
*Difficulty concentrating during school
* Forget instructions after given them.
* Lose track of time
* Impatient
* easily frustrated
* Inability to multi-task
He also claimed that he has done the following;
He someimtes watches TV and when the commerical comes on, he forget what hes watching.
he sometimes during school when the teacher is teaching, he doesn't pay attention because he doesn't feel like doing the work
he sometimes has troubles and forgets stuff after he studies them?
I've known him for over 10 years, and he does None of these on a daily basis, and he doesn't do it drastically either.
I ragely and strongly disagree with him on the basis that he believes he has ADD, because all of the reasons he states aren't that bad, and/or to him they do not apply in a drastic manner, and that I possibly have all of the same things he's mentioned, but worse, I'm more likely to have ADD then he is, and I know I don't have it.
He gets B and C grades, I get C and Ds
Would you actually believe that he has ADD, or do you believe that he is making excuses because he is to lazy and ignorant to actually pay attention.
I for one refuse to believe that he, and for a fact, the majority of people who claim they have ADD, actually have it - now I'm not saying ADD isn't real, but majority of the times, It is Over stepped and diagnosed to normal people.
If there are any questions, or missing information to tell weather or not someone truly has ADD, please share. ( Questions I should ask him )
I also asked him If he is able to pay attention and concentrate on things in general for longer than 15 minutes, He says no. but in fact he's able to play video games for hours straight, able to hold long discussable/debatable topics. and he is able to watch TV shows for 4 hours straight.
He just sounds like a dumb shit
Actually when I think about it my nephew is the same way. He just got left back in the 4th grade but he can play Day of Defeat until his eyes ejaculate tiredness (He's actually diagnosed with ADHD, he takes pills and shit)
He has it, either that or he spent a while researching about it.
yep.
You do worse then a person with ADD.
Gj.
if adderol helps him get better grades, who cares?
hell, if i wasn't so lazy i'd be on adderol too

Looks like I have ADD too.
Isn't to suppose to be ADHD?
Looks like I have ADD too.
Same.
Looks like I have ADD too.
I have every damn one of those symptoms and I pull mostly A's
Yes, I've noticed the reasons he gave does cover symptoms of ADD, but his examples were just plain ridiculous and pretty much described what a lot of people also do.
The symptoms he states he has is:
* Procrastinate I do that
* lose and forget things a lot
*Difficulty concentrating during school Half of everyone does that
* Forget instructions after given them. He's just not paying attention
* Lose track of time Anyone could do this
* Impatient Usually kids are
* easily frustrated Depends on the person, doesn't necessarily mean ADD
* Inability to multi-task
He also claimed that he has done the following;
He someimtes watches TV and when the commerical comes on, he forget what hes watching. I do that all the time
he sometimes during school when the teacher is teaching, he doesn't pay attention because he doesn't feel like doing the work You just explained every high schooler in the world
he sometimes has troubles and forgets stuff after he studies them? Sometimes you have to study it more than once to remember it
I bolded my answers. Most of the things there I do, and I know I dont have ADD. He probably just wants an excuse to not do his work. I bet a lot of people have these "symptoms"
I usually go down to my kitchen to grab something to drink, end up getting distracted along the way (Someone calls my house phone, I'll pick it up and talk to them). Then I forget that I wanted a drink go back upstairs, and when I get back to my room remember that I wanted a drink and then I have to go back down to get it.
[editline]02:33AM[/editline]
It happens all the time too.
Lol, I take Adderall
Or I just get lost in my thoughts and walk back upstairs without having anything actually distracting me.
[editline]02:35AM[/editline]
broke my automerge
I have ADHD. I consider it basically "Oh yeah Agoat he yells and doesn't pay attention". I don't need medication, and I don't take it.
Also to nitpick, I think your friend can add numbers together.
In my opinion, I don't think Add or ADHD is a real thing, I think some people have more difficulty concentrating more than others.

Sometimes I just walk upstairs and then I realize I'm not where I thought I was.
I can take pills bigger than that without water. People think it's odd.

I do that too.
[editline]02:43AM[/editline]
Or I walk somewhere and realize that's not where I wanted to go.
I also takes pills to help me sleep, My sleeping pills are Novo-Clonidine
I hate it when you're watching something and a commercial comes on, then you can't remember what you were watching. Happens to me all the time v:v:v
This is what Im trying to get out! He believes he has a problem because he does what most other people do, but believes it's ADD.

*Difficulty concentrating during school - same as 2
