Arthur Kent, 24, of Welling, southeast London, said he became angry when the dog urinated on him and would not walk on a lead. Kent was filmed by a member of the public yanking the puppy off the ground by its lead and delivering at least two kicks that were so hard the dog was knocked off its feet. The dog tries to cower away from him but is violently pulled along and then off the ground. The incident was filmed by a member of the public in Knee Hill Park, southeast London, and uploaded to YouTube. "He wouldn't walk so I gave him a kick and a yank. I didn't mean him no harm, I was just trying to teach him how to walk," he told Sky News. "The dog was a bit scared of me after that. But I apologised to him, kissed him and gave him some toys." Days after the video appeared on Youtube, a Facebook page was launched in an attempt to identify Kent, who later handed himself in to police. The puppy was seized by police and given to the RSPCA, who are considering charges under the Animal Welfare Act. "They took the dog to a vet who claimed it had been through trauma," Kent said. "They asked me how I could manage to kick 12kgs with such force." He added: "My mum's scared to come out because she's been getting death threats on Facebook. "People are saying she's a benefits scrounger and breeds dogs for money. "I'm ashamed and disgusted with myself and want to apologise. I would never hurt any animal. I've had dogs and cats my whole life. If I saw someone doing that to a dog I'd want to punch them in the face." Kent was previously jailed for 18 months for robbery. He says he expects to be sent back to prison if prosecuted by the RSPCA. Despite the puppy being seized, Kent still owns a whippet-cross Staffordshire-terrier. The RSPCA said enquiries were ongoing and it was up to the courts to decide if anyone should be banned from keeping animals. Kent's cousin Kerry Williams, 20, said she was horrified by his behaviour. Writing on Facebook she claimed Kent had had a tough upbringing and was a product of "broken Britain".
What is it with people giving death threats over Facebook?
What a pussy, my dog urinated on my back once and I took a bath and laughed it off.

Good thing he turned himself in. LIKE A MAN.
Good thing he turned himself in. LIKE A MAN.
He knew he would be found sooner or later.
People are saying she's a benefits scrounger and breeds dogs for money.
But people actually do that to make a living, what so bad about breeding dogs for money?
Because the vast majority of so called 'breeders' steal dogs to use then abandon them once they've been overbred and served their use or put them in a 'dog fighting' event so to speak.
He's a chav. Of course he's going to kick a dog.
I only fight dogs of my own size. And bears :v:
He knew he would be found sooner or later.
No one can hide from the internet when caught harming animals.
Damn I wonder what the dogs thoughts were
I wonder why that person was filming him in the first place. Does that person usually video tape people passing by or is he looking for his next rape victim.
Damn I wonder what the dogs thoughts were
If it was his dog then it probably trying to be loyal despite the asshole owner.
