• Weird hollow rock

My dad used to collect all kinds of weird, interesting and pretty rocks. He's too old for it now, though he had one rock I was eager to find out what it actually is. He didn't knew it, so I thought; maybe FP knows what it is. "I found this rock in Crete. It stood out of all the other rocks. It was the same colour, and not broken. I picked it up, and studied it. It was really weird. I smacked it against another rock, and it fell apart. It appeared to be hollow." "Back home, I glued it back together (which explains the cracks, and the glue on the inside)." It's about the size of the palm of your hand, and its quite heavy for it's size (and it being hollow): 469 grams. inb4 MARKED ONE
Sell it
It doesn't look very much like a rock at all.
something in me wants to say geode because i have some rocks like that but something else in me knows thats not the right terminology.
Sell it
Collectors don't sell their collections Most of the time
A shell?
It doesn't look very much like a rock at all.
It's as hard as a rock, and it's not brittle at all
Looks like a gone off conker shell
It doesn't look very much like a rock at all.
It's probably a pinecone or something. It is still cool none the less.
It isn't a rock. It's some kind of device from an ancient civilization! It's pretty cool though... Are you sure it's a rock?
It's as hard as a rock, and it's not brittle at all
If it's not brittle how come it fell apart when your father smacked it against another rock?
If it's not brittle how come it fell apart when your father smacked them together?
He smacked it pretty hard against another rock I wasn't even born then, so I can't retell it properly
looks like a rusty grenade. a bit
it's a primitive grenade. Back in the days before gunpowder they used to just throw it at peoples heads. In crete they're still used today. Not surprising.
It's probably just a sedimentary rock, nothing special.
looks like some sort of pre historic egg
May be a Geode.
It's not a rock. Thats certain.
Looks like iron ore to me That would explain the weight
To me it looks like a petrified cone off of an old tree.
It's interesting, whatever it is.
At first I was going to say it was a geode but taking a closer look I thing it's just a really corroded piece of metal.
Theres lots of rocks like that around here... Its just a normal kind of thing.
HOLY SHIT, its the last Godzilla egg from 1998
it clearly had a fetus in it once
Fossilized egg?
damn you! acidcj! you ninja'd me!
It looks like it's made out of metal with pieces of rock in it. Would explain the colour & weight. Does it give off rust?
Looks like a mine
That looks like the shit I took this morning.
