I just know that immigration is a very contentious issue over there, and it didn't seem to far fetched to think that immigration might have played a part in this.

US has a pop of like 300 million, so in reality for how many people Switzerland has and the amount of guns per person it is a lot of a country of that size. It is in the top 4 and competing with US.
