Hell yeah. This is my favorite xbox live downloadable game ever.
What a good way to promote your remaster This game was pretty awesome actually
Man, I loved shadow complex way back in the day. Great songs, good gameplay, it was like metroid all over again.
That's a hell of a promotion. I'm all over this
Is there any way to dl it without having to download Epic's game launcher crap?
So the download was just for the Epic launcher. I try just updating the launcher without the download as I have UT, but nothing. I install it anyway, but the game isn't added to the launcher, AND the Unreal Tournament tab of the launcher no longer works.

Updated launcher, no Shadow Complex. Reinstalled launcher using link from that website - tab showed up but I couldn't install. Restarted launcher, Shadow Complex tab is gone again. Figures.
I'm guessing their servers are just massively overloaded right now. I'd give it a bit of time, see if it clears up.
Everything I've tried has just made it worse. I tried completely removing and reinstalling the launcher and now I only have the Unreal Engine tab. Gonna try again tomorrow.
Can't even log in. Login server is throwing gateway timeouts. We killed it lads.
Fucking awesome. Love seeing stuff like this.
Honestly i'm installing right now but from what i've seen it literally looks like a 1080p version of a 2009 XBLA game. I liked the LP I saw of it a while ago, and a free game never hurts, but was it really worth the remaster if it doesn't quite seem like they really remastered it?
Actually got it to activate after it failing to log in 10 times and failing to activate the game at least 5 times. This text rendering is terrible in half the spots. Font on the unblurred bit looks pretty bad but the blurred one is so hard to read. It would make sense if it was "good" everywhere or bad everywhere but it's different from line to line in the same block of text. Doesn't feel very remastered when none of the AA options do shit to remove aliasing either.
I'm more excited about this than I have been for most of the releases this year.
Getting into it now, I never played the game before so I decided to use a PS4 controller in hopes of a consistent playstyle. Turns out I may prefer playing with the keyboard and mouse, for some reason aiming with the right stick is a nightmare but with the mouse I can literally tear my way through enemy forces in seconds. Holy shit did someone botch the sound on the cutscenes, though, characters randomly get louder or quieter, have filters on their voices or not. And while I think they got the uncompressed textures for this, not only does the game show its age still, but the character faces besides Jason's terrify me. No glitches or bugs so far, maybe performance issues but all things considered my rig is getting a bit on in years so I can't claim that for all.
Finally got it downloaded after failing yesterday. Restarted the launcher and the tab was there.
Here's what Epic says they changed in the remaster, including their plans for the console version: General: - Up-rezzed characters, enemies, environments and interface (don't expect miracles, though - it's still a UE3-ass UE3 game) - Updated lighting, post processing and VFX (level lighting looks a lot better and things are less, you know, brown) - New contextual melee takedown animations - New achievements and master challenges PC Version: - Keyboard and mouse controls, customizable controls, 4K resolution support - Epic Games Launcher achievements, leaderboards and friends lists Xbone Version: - Xbox Live achievements, leaderboards, friends lists and cloud saves - Cross buy with Windows Store PS4 Version: - PSN trophies, leaderboards, friends lists, cloud saves - Dual Shock 4 controller stuff And a comparison shot from the little tutorial scene: 360: [t]http://abload.de/img/me0001147992_2ahupy.jpg[/t] PC: [t]http://abload.de/img/shadowcomplex-win32-e6gqay.jpg[/t]

I already asked this in another thread, but does anyone know if the game gets removed later from your account, because it says it's "free for the holidays".
