Tell us what you think, listen to it however you like. I haven't heard it through speakers though.
Track isn't available.

You know what to do.
Whether its inspired or not, it's quite good.
It's progressive, so it kind of melts into something else in the middle. :3:
The second bit is pretty cool. It's a tad too repetitive for my taste, but good job anyways! :buddy:

Thanks. It was kind of a spur of a moment thing, just put sounds together and make.
I don't know if I'd call this music, but it's good if you like that sort of thing I guess.
I liked this a lot. Especially at around 2:00 with the stringy noises..also at 3:12 when the drums come in. You could experiment with a more "choppy" sound instead of just throwing some drums in there. Maybe try and experiment with the drums as a controller for the volume of the melody..just a thought.

Yeah, I get you. A more "glitchy" sound rather than the generic stuff.
Trouble is, I'm not actually musically trained so all I have to work with is grabbing sounds and experimenting.
I probably should have spent more time looking at them with this one.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'd be open to collaborate anytime :D

Me too. :smug:

I'm following you both on Soundcloud..my alias is RUBRIq
Sounds pretty good.
if there wasn't just constant nonsense rumbling in the background I'd enjoy this more
the last section just sounds like a child trying to play a toy keyboard other than the random loud cymbal samples

Useful, any good things you like about it?
Sounds like someone is mowing the lawn outside my window.
More then 4 piano notes would be cool.
The piano part was alright, but my preference was for the background stuff.

The harpsichord part is delightful.

I didn't really like any of it. It was just sort of a jumbled mess of sound. I mean, I get it, it's ambient, but this isn't the sort of ambiance I like. This is like improvised "jazz" ambiance you'd see some phish fans on acid making in a parking lot
Having a piano riff with more than 4 notes would, indeed, be nice. It has a good feel to it as a riff, but that can't be all there is to it. If that part had some percussion behind it, then maybe it'd work, but with the random rumbling, it doesn't.
Honestly, with the fact every riff just repeats itself end on end, this seems like it was thrown together in 3 hours, lazily. The hardest work that it seems could've gone into it is a lot of copy pasting.

Very true, all I do is layer sounds I make. I'm no musician :smugdog:

Respect to the phish fans on acid.
I dont really have opinions on this. The harpsichord was cool tho. You should make someting less crazy sometime

The slightly off-beat piano (well I mean it follows a beat but it sounds like it) works well with the building up of the background noise, it sounds chaotic while still being really spartan which I like a lot. It goes on for too long without anything happening though which is a shame, because the first 30 seconds build up really well.
The transition between piano to piano+noise to noise to piano + noise (with that crazy piano that sounds like a string instrument) is really nice, I think it could go faster though, cutting away 15 seconds from every part would do wonders.
Still not a big fan of the ending, I think the original piano you played could work a lot better with the keith-moonesque drumming (albeit a lot more soft) since they both follow a similar rhythm. Not sure how much you've changed but it does sound a bit better.

:downs:
[editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
only the single good emote remains
as seen above

It's the same one I posted in the concept album thread. You probably just like it a bit more.

Weird how time changes the perception on things huh? =)
