Yeah I love watching this guy, he has such a creative approach to builds. I like how he tends to build parts he doesn't want to buy, such as the latch for his shed or those latches on that uke case. When he motorized his scaffold I knew I had to subscribe.
what the fuck is with the wasp sympathizers in the comments....
People who are against catching and killing wasps never had an infestation of them.
Wasps are ants with wings and 500% douchebag injections. they suck.
I was incredibly surprised to see some of them were still alive after 5 days.
Serious question, does being humane come into play with insects? Like do they process pain/feelings enough where it's warranted to dispose of them humanely? [sp]I mean if I find wasp nests I fucking wreck their assholes with a homemade torch. Tick & ants too. Just wondering.[/sp]

It's made of 100% hate anyway.
what the fuck is with the wasp sympathizers in the comments....
I'll admit that part of me was a bit disappointed that he killed the stragglers. They had faced the beast and won, they had earnt their freedom.
I'll admit that part of me was a bit disappointed that he killed the stragglers. They had faced the beast and won, they had earnt their freedom.
No mercy for the enemy.
I'll admit that part of me was a bit disappointed that he killed the stragglers. They had faced the beast and won, they had earnt their freedom.
Fuck that. I'd have them all incinerated if it were left up to me.
I'm pretty sure a wasps brain is too basic to be worried about. Well, that SUCKS for them.
Like do they process pain
I fucking hope wasps do.
Serious question, does being humane come into play with insects? Like do they process pain/feelings enough where it's warranted to dispose of them humanely?
It depends for what purpose in my books. Little Timmy burning insects with a magnifying glass is a bit troubling ethically, but killing them because they're a nuisance or invading your home? Eh. Insects (apparently) don't feel pain the same way were do, so I'm all for more creative/fuck-them approaches to removal.
Pain is more than the stimulation of nerves. In fact, the IASP notes that patients can feel and report pain with no actual physical cause or stimulus. Pain is a subjective and emotional experience. Our response to unpleasant stimuli is influenced by our perceptions and past experiences. The insect nervous system differs greatly from that of higher order animals. Insects lack the neurological structures that translate a negative stimulus into an emotional experience. We have pain receptors (nocireceptors) that send signals through our spinal cord and to our brain. Within the brain, the thalamus directs these pain signals to different areas for interpretation. The cortex catalogues the source of the pain and compares it to pain we've experienced before. The limbic system controls our emotional response to pain, making us cry or react in anger. Insects don't have these structures, suggesting they don't process physical stimuli emotionally. We also learn from our pain, and change our behavior to avoid it. If you burn your hand by touching a hot surface, you associate that experience with pain and will avoid making the same mistake in the future. Pain serves an evolutionary purpose in higher order organisms. Insect behavior, in contrast, is largely a function of genetics. Insects are pre-programmed to behave in certain ways. The insect lifespan is short, so the benefits of an individual learning from pain experiences are minimized. Perhaps the clearest evidence that insects do not feel pain is found in behavioral observations. How do insects respond to injury? An insect with a damaged foot doesn't limp. Insects with crushed abdomens continue to feed and mate. Caterpillars still eat and move about their host plant, even with parasites consuming their bodies. Even a locust being devoured by a praying mantid will behave normally, feeding right up until the moment of death. Insects and other invertebrates don't experience pain as we do. This doesn't, however, preclude the fact that insects, spiders, and other arthropods are living organisms that deserve humane treatment.

Wasps are ants with wings and 500% douchebag injections. they suck.
A wasp stung me on my birthday last year. It sucked.
what the fuck is with the wasp sympathizers in the comments....
It's hard to sympathize with evil, but some people manage to do it.
this is disgusting, those wasps could have been rehabilitated before being let back in to society. just because they've stung people doesn't mean they aren't human.
I've watched almost every one of Matthias' videos. He's incredibly clever, and gets damn sassy in the comments at times too.
I hate wasps they are everywhere and dont serve any purpose. Useless POS animals
Is no one else thinking that he could keep them alive in the box and unleash them on people that mess with him? ...I'll turn myself in to the authorities now.
I hate wasps they are everywhere and dont serve any purpose. Useless POS animals
Wasps kill a lot of nasty pest insects and even spiders. They're an important part of the ecosystem, no matter how much we view them as rage incarnate. Mosquitos on the other hand can all go fucking die.
The part where he pours out all of the wasps and starts immediately stepping on them made me chuckle
I read somewhere that insects basically don't feel pain or at least react to it in any way, because considering their size and natural predators, the only time an insect is feeling pain is when it's being eaten, and thus it can't relay the genetic memory of "pain = something bad is happening, freak out now" to its offspring, like other animals could
I'll admit that part of me was a bit disappointed that he killed the stragglers. They had faced the beast and won, they had earnt their freedom.
You would let the strong wasps survive? Are you insane?
I hate wasps they are everywhere and dont serve any purpose. Useless POS animals
Every animal serves its purpose
Every animal serves its purpose
wasps serve the purpose of being shitty assholes
wasps serve the purpose of being shitty assholes
http://insects.about.com/od/antsbeeswasps/f/What-Good-Are-Wasps.htm
Every animal serves its purpose
Not Mosquitoes or Love bugs. Literally could kill off all Mosquitoes in the world and it would hardly make a dent in the ecosystem.
