Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of Green Day, agreed the new video game would allow the band's fans to experience the excitement of performing the group's hits.
"We want people to fire this up, choose their favorite Green Day tracks, and play along with us as Rock Band avatars so they can feel what it's like to perform on stage as Green Day," Armstrong said.
The video game is being developed in partnership with Warner Bros./Reprise Records and Harmonix Music Systems, Inc.
Green Day is also set to offer three more songs from the band's newest album, "21st Century Breakdown," on the Rock Band Music Store starting Tuesday.[/quote]

There are so many other artists who deserve their own game more than Green Day. :/ Found this out during the VGA's the other day. Ridiculous. Green Day isn't terrible, but certainly doesn't deserve a Rockband game. If anything, it should be DLC.

These would just piss off everyone who doesn't like the specific band though so just make fucking RB3.
All those single-band rockband copies things are a ripoff, though. they could just do it in DLCs. Instead you're being charged an extra heap of money for it.
