I think I saw a plane crash today. - General

A few hours ago I was on a walk and I heard a loud bang, loud enough that it startled me when I had my iPod at full volume, I looked over and saw a really low flying plane, with a shitload of smoke coming out of it, and I mean LOW flying, I was getting ready to bolt because there was a chance it could crash and hit me, so I watched it for a while and eventually another smaller plane came up behind it and followed it, the plane with the smoke coming out of it didn't look like a passenger craft, more like a stealth plane, very large wings, totally black. After a while the smoking plane started to turn sort of vertical, and it was falling rather rapidly but every few seconds would have a small raise in height, eventually it seemed to right itself and go horizontal again, but then after it flew for a few more seconds, it went totally vertical and seemed to just plummet. For the past few hours I've seen tons of vehicles labeled "Fleet maintenance" surrounded by police convoys going up and down the roads, but there's no smoke or fire from the area where it went down. I know there are no airports near where I live, and the whole thing seemed totally out of control, and I wonder what happened. And no, it wasn't a UFO, don't be thick. Update: The police have been knocking on people's doors and apparently a plane crash landed onto a stretch of road in front of the local Tesco, and they're telling people not to worry. =/

I was on that plane but luckily i found a loose seat and jumped out of the window with it and just before i hit the ground i jumped up, therefore defeating gravity and showing my dominance over it.

Funny, i rated op a random rating and then it got higher and higher. The story is sad.

Perhaps you should investigate. They may want witnesses.

I doubt I can be counted as a proper "Witness" since I wasn't really near where it landed/crashed. And I live in the Northamptonshire Area.

I'd go and check it out and investigate. Out of pure seriousness you could be counted as a witness considering you did sort of see it and hear it.

It happened at about 1:30pm, so I'm surprised there isn't SOME kind of report of it on the news now, it's been like 2 hours and I'd imagine most people in the town saw it.

Most likely those aliens that retired guy said would be coming today. Or maybe a new series of LOST.

Well if it looked like that it's either a B2 bomber or a F-117 stealth fighter (which is alot smaller but has quite similar looks). Anyway, I'm not quite surprised if you see a shit ton of fleet maintenance vehicles drive by since those planes cost quite alot.

Wait what? If it WAS a plane crash, it wasn't a B-2 Spirit... not in Britain. We can't even afford a fighter fleet any more.

I don't think it was a stealth bomber, since they don't usually crash, but it looked like one, same shape, completely dark coloured, and seemed to be having trouble staying 'horizontal'
