Relatively speaking, it is more harmful to say drink enough beer to be drunk and smoke enough weed to be stoned, at the same time, rather than not. Does the combination increase the dangers? Not including pulling a whitey or greening out, I mean long term consequences.
some drugs are counterindicated and will cause health issues together, but if you discount changes in the experience such as heroin and cocaine being mixed being more likely to cause an overdose (simply because of how much is needed of each, i don't think it's anything psychochemical) and little problems (such as 'pulling a whitey' or 'greening out), you're fine.
again, there are some drugs you shouldn't take together (DXM and a MAOI, just for an example, causing serotonin toxicity), but for weed and alcohol, no.
Something I've though about myself, how does weed and LSD/shrooms (just generally hallucinogens) go together (compared to the individual drugs)? I want to try a hallucinogen, but I'm not sure if I should experience it while high or not, or even try both things.

Marijuana can be safely combined with just about every recreational drug. You will be hard-pressed to find a drug that interacts negatively with marijuana.
Marijuana/alcohol combo: Most people condemn the combo, blaming it for uncontrollable nausea and a ruined night. I call those people pussies. I rarely drink without smoking. Hell, I rarely do anything without smoking.
As for marijuana + hallucinogens: Does this need an answer? It works the same way it does with any other drug: boosts the positive, reduces the negative (or at least makes it more manageable).
I'm thinkin about trying a 2C-T-2/Adderall combo. T-2 always makes me feel so sleepy and dopey.

weed goes great with every hallucinogen i can think of. There's actually only a few times where i haven't smoked weed while tripping.
Alcohol isn't a substance, it's a drink, so it works well with everything.
In all seriousness combining drugs is normally more dangerous but marijuana and alcohol can be combined with most things. Opiates and benzos can be combined with almost everything except really stimulating substances. Mixing opiates and stimulants is bad as it hides the respiratory depression until the stimulants wear off and at this point you can asphyxiate. Blah blah etc.
Anyway, alcohol + weed is great if you keep the drinks low. If you're falling around the place don't smoke weed.
Would weed in the form of edibles also go well with alcohol?

If you eat weed and drink alcohol it combines in your stomach to create 3-hydroxyethanol. If you burp this out and then breathe it in it can kill you.

As long as you mix drugs sensibly it's generally okay. Getting shitfaced on a night out and then smoking a ton probably leads to vomiting, having a few spliffs and a few drinks is generally fine.
Weed goes well with pretty much anything.
Though, I find that with lsd, it doesn't really get you high (like, you don't exactly notice it because of all the other trippy things happening), but it definitely can bump the trip up a notch.
Benzo / alcohol / opioids = should't be mixed together
meth,amph / coke / caffeine (in big doses) = shouldn't be mixed together
also, while being on hallucinogen it's not smart to mix substances that make you more confident (aka highers your ego).
Because, hallucinogens destroys your ego and substance that highers your ego can recreate mass confusion of losing your own ego etc etc you know
weed + hallucinogen = watch out, weed can potentate trip very much
weed + alcohol = can make you vomit if you are piss-drunk, but it's alright combination ( i never vomited after smoking weed hehe)
But, almost all substances can be mixed if mood AND timeline is good...

Remember the fucking rhyme with weed & alcohol guys. Grass before beer, you're in the clear, beer before grass, you're on your ass. This is more or less 100% true. For example, you drink say 6 beers in quick succession, maybe 1 or 2 shots of spirits, then you take a few big bong rips, you're probably going to green out like a motherfucker. Weed enhances everything, even alcohol, so it's doing exactly that, I compare smoking AFTER drinking to just about doubling up on all the drink you've had over the night into about the time it takes to smoke, and that's how I feel if I start to green out. Riding out the whitey though can be fun if you make it
It's not adviced to do that... But I know that DXM + Cannabis is good.
From my own experience and talking to others, drinking a lot and then getting really high after the alcohol has kicked in screws you up pretty bad.
