Official 2011 Thread: Where were the jetpacks and hovercars!? - General

Well, 2010 is coming to an end. This marks my first year and a bit with facepunch, and I can't say I haven't enjoyed it. [b]First, some 2010 Facepunch memories[/b] The ""Justin Bieber gets owned" thread. On March 18th, 2010, Facepunch user zin908 posted a thread about how he got Justin Bieber to sign his name on a piece of paper with "Justin... CUNT!" written upon it. Over 2000 funnies were recieved. The TH89 Mass Banning. On July 18th, 2010, a thread was posted about the whole Kerligirl19 fiasco. Inside, people were posting jokes abound about Kerligir19, such as "She dun goofed" and "Her consequences will never be the same". TH89, in a fit of rage of some sort, began banning anyone that made a mention of "dun goofing" and "consequences will never be the same". The VB4 Switch. Facepunch switches to VB4. Zing! and Winner ratings back, as well as some new shiny effects. Blogs and groups, as well, make a return. Many people are overjoyed, although some are angry with the fact that Smartness and Instaban don't come back. Facepunch makes a meme (again)... but this time succeeds! Deep with in LMAO pics lurks an evil beast. Football guy. Created by a user called Neinman, football guy quickly pillaged the LMAO pics for several editions, until dying down for a while earlier this month. Football Guy now has a Know Your Meme page! [url]http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/football-guy[/url] [b]Now a list of games I have played this year, and I rate them as well. Exciting. [/b] Minecraft: Simplicity is truly bliss. A simple game, yet highly addicting. Must have for any PC gamer. 5/5 Halo: Reach: A fantastic end to a much loved franchise. 4.5/5 C.O.D: Black Ops: I've never been a COD fan, but this games campaign was quite brilliant. 3.5/5 Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game: As a devoted fan of comics, and more recently, the movie, I found this game quite fun. 4/5 Fable III: A great addition to the series, but a few hiccups here and there. 4.5/5 Skate 3: I've never been one for sport games, but I truly enjoyed this game. Probably because I didn't actually do any skating. I just ran around whacking old ladies with my board until they tasered me. Joy. 4/5 Halo 3: Yes, yes. Calm down. I only got this game this year because I couldn't find it in any stores, and I'm too lazy to buy it on the internet. Halo 3 has a really great storyline and multiple fun multiplayer modes. A must-have for any FPS lover. 4.5/5 Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2: After playing this at my friends house for 5 minutes, I decided to buy it myself. The campaign was alright, but after 3 hours of "OMG U FUCKKEN N00B FUCK CAMPER SPAN FAGGGG" on Xbox live, I was ready to snap my controller. 2.5/5 Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts: I've never been a big fan of this series, but this game totally pointed me in the right direction. Intended for kids, maybe, but loved by adults? Hell yeah. Allowing you to design your own vehicles, and use them to complete quests, Nuts and Bolts is a great game for all those big kids. 4.5/5 [b]So there it is.[/b] My 2010 summed up pretty simply. This year really sucked. See, I live in the bible belt... my mom's a conservative administrative law judge and my dad's a preacher. They have been finding everything I do online and creating accounts of their own to spy on me because I'm a 'threat' to society when in reality, I just don't believe in God and I curse too much. Other members of the church have joined in too to save my soul and sent me to a jesus camp in the summer. A friend died, and I was hanging out with her before it happened. We were not ridiculously close or anything, but it's still a blow in the stomach. I'd continue, but something tells me this thread was meant for things more Facepunch-related, not where I mope about stuff no one but me cares about, aha.
