A Blank Slate is a short student film made as a final project but please don't read student and think 'this is going to be a load of shit.' Give it a watch and please tell me what you think and any constructive criticism that may come to mind. Enjoy!
You have a cool apartment.
Would really like to see a driving force riding up to the photography. Otherwise, cinematography was impressive. I was pleased with how awkward everything looked,(the wobbly cycle, the tennis scene) but it didn't give me, as a viewer, the actual feeling of awkwardness.
Ah you posted it then, looks good on vimeo
I'm not sure how I felt about it, I mean quality is great, idea is great and so forth. You are very handsome :3

I didn't mention that the project had to be under ten minutes so I guess this is why we struggled to slowly bring it in and bash it out towards the end. Thanks :)
I'm glad the guys on Video Copilot liked it
Bitchin apartment, cool main character. I liked it. In fact, i'll be showing it to some of my friends.
I don't think the really close cut you used to introduce the main characters face was a good choice because it was kind of EH as far as camera angles go, and I guessed it would end up with the camera the first time he opened the drawer, but it was actually a pretty cool movie. Looks very nice, makes sense, I like it.
might want to invest in a stabilisation plugin, mercalli for example
might want to invest in a stabilisation plugin, mercalli for example
We tried to stabilise some of the shots ourselves however due to a deadline to meet some shots we just had to let be a little shaky. However obviously we'd be interested in improving our piece, and since you as a viewer noticed that some shots were shaky then other viewers may be distracted by them too. Which ones did you notice in particular? But nice poster none the less. Once again i'm glad you like the film :)
EH is just "eh" or "meh" with caps lock on, ie I didn't like it too much but I don't hate it or what have you. Anyways, I think you should have the close ups of the board, then a backed out shot that fits the whole board with the main characters back while he faces the board, then a closer up shot at a bit of an angle, then pulling the note off and reading it, and then the angle you started with but perhaps still backed up a little bit. As is I just think it's a little too striking of a way to introduce him.

Excellent work either way.
Cheers, we'll consider changing that in another edit. Thanks for feedback!

It was more of an attention getter seeing as like 75% of my follwers have "i looove photography" in their bio.

Fell free to, the bigger the audience the better in the end. Thanks for the effort! :)
