I am another match. I am in all the matches. ALL OF THEM.

Black Temple forces arrive in a desolate and forbidding environment.
Intelligence has told them that there are large stocks of a rare and valuable mineral in this area, so they have brought a heavy mining suit along with a Shambles for lifting heavy crates of ore.
But despite the barren appearance of this place... they were not alone.

A Kretlin squad is ordered out into the wastes from base to investigate an anomaly detected in the distance. Among them is an accomplished Kretlin Squad leader, along with the regular elements of the squad, utility drone and spore drone included.
These lands were once the grounds of a great battle where many foes had once come together only to be crushed by the might of Kretlin war machine. Now sacred to all who know the story.
FP is being MEGA SLOW. Took like 5 minutes to get it to this page.
Yeah sucks doesn't it ):

The amputees wander about as the Overseer has a mental discussion with their offworld commander.
The shambles just sort of stands there, drooling.
"So we are looking for ore, yes?"
"I've already told you this, yes!"
"Well... where is it?"
"Right where you are!!!"
"Well there's quite a lot of places around here where it could be, could you possibly be a little more specific?"
"Nope. Start diggin' boys!"

The Squad leader pauses, not wanting to walk into an ambush and get eradicated by unknown xenos.
"You! Human! Take point and don't give us away!"
The human conscript moves onward, wary of enemies, the human is the least valuable part of any Kretlin squad, even the drones are treated with more respect, a special kind of hatred for humans has plagued Kretlin ranks since the invasion.

Angry at the finished conversation, the Overseer feels something dripping on his head and looks up (no mean feat for someone wearing an oversized metal helmet).
There are three mutilated human corpses dangling from ropes high above him.
The Black Temple religion preaches the superiority of humans above all other races, which is why they don't use humans as soldiers. They are sacred and need to be protected from harm.
Leaving the humans dangling up there without a proper burial would be blasphemous, and more importantly (as it is hard for the sequester slave race to believe in a religion that denounces them as disgusting abominations) if anyone finds out that he's done it he'll be executed.
The mining suit is redirected so that he can open an easier way to the corpses, bringing their one guard to carry them down.
To keep watch on the plain ahead of them without the guard, the two remaining amputees begin to set up a sniper.
Minges to be exact. :v:
Sub humans.
It's quite convenient that entirely by accident we are using armies with completely opposite ideologies.
XD

The Human conscript arrives at the bridge, the others slowly move up behind. The sniper needs to find a vantage point to cover the squad.

I'm sure blasting a huge hole in this rock pillar could be nothing but a good idea. It's not like it's holding up 500 tons of rock above all of my mans.
From his high vantage point, the guard spots an approaching figure.

The Conscript taps into the bridges vintage scanner, it picks up signals extremely close, the human looks up and spots a hovering machine and uses the bridge to radio back to the Kretlin Squad leader who in turn orders the Sniper to hurry the fuck up and the two drones are sent in as support.
You really should make more maps TY, this one is beautiful
I sure hope Chao can pull off the big rock falling.

The amputee is completely sealed within the railgun suit.
He's probably going to stand there in that one space now for the rest of his life.
Almost as soon as it is completed the new sniper locks on to an approaching figure in the distance, but the overseer calls it to halt just before it fires.
It looks like it's... another human.
Reaching out across the divide with his psychic abilities, he attempts to speak directly into the conscripts mind.
"Hello stranger, please do not be alarmed."

The Conscript slowly walks forward and leaves the panel. He doesn't say anything, but lowers his gun and looks into the distance at the floating figure he assumes is speaking to him.
Behind the drone spots the xenos and relays visuals to the squad leader. The sniper fires up a grappling to the rock above.
"CV97, do you hear me scum!? Kill those xenos, fire your weapon now!"
The human remains unaffected.

The suit finally breaks through to the other side of the pillar. There is an ominous rumbling but no catastrophic rockslide... yet.
From the brief mental contact he has had, the overseer can tell that this is, in fact, and actual live human.
This... changes things. As a human, he is superior to the Overseer and therefore they basically have to do whatever he wants.
"Master, it is a pleasure to meet you.
We are the Black Temple and we are at your service."
Inside, he silently thinks to himself "Human bastard I wish you'd never been born."

The human turns around immediately realizing his squad is rushing up behind him to kill the xenos. He wants to find a way to take advantage of what the xenos have said but knows his squad is oblivious. Maybe if he can hatch a victory here he could earn some respect among his comrades... Or... maybe he can use this against them...
The sniper quickly climbs up into the rock and activates his active camouflage. The Squad leader is furious and runs up with the infantryman ahead of him.
Heh, my mingebags are still lookin' good.

A second target suddenly floated into sight of the sniper emplacement, this one quite obviously not a human.
The overseer studied it for a moment through his mental vision of the sniper's scope and then gave the all clear to fire.
Some sort of spy craft only slightly larger than a human head, not likely to be large enough to contain a pilot, even a severed brain of any kind.
The Black Temple hate Artifical Intelligence constructs almost as much as they love humans, believing that in every case a brain can perform as well if not better. All of their machinery is controlled and to a small extent powered by actual living organisms. The mining suit for example is hooked up to the central nervous system of a permanently encased amputee.
If the drone turns out to belong to their new master they can always apologise later.

The human is shocked slightly hearing the shot whizz overhead and connect with the drone above. He crouches and draws his weapon. Confused, he looks back. Why are the xenos shooting at them now?
The Squad Leader is furious, he charges up with the infantryman just about ready to kill the human for disobeying orders during a firefight.
The sniper sees the green flash and fires a round at the enemies on the rock.

The sniper is completely unable to move or get away, and in any case probably wouldn't be able to dodge a bullet. Fortunately it doesn't have to in this case as it is stopped by a wall of force.
The Overseer frowns inside his helmet, he hadn't expected to get into a battle so soon and doesn't have any reinforcements. He's going to have to leave the sniper here undefended while he calls some up.
It is expendable of course, but when you only have five troops in your command it is a shame to waste any.
Meanwhile the remaining half of his troops don't seem to have got the idea and are treating the bodies with something a little less than their due respect.

The high velocity round is dampened heavily by the force field, and fizzles out to the power of a conventional pistol as it coasts downwards and smashes into 2 thin supports under the enemy snipers weapon. He prepares to take another shot.
The Human hears his Kretlin superiors rage over the radio and fears execution, he takes off running towards the xenos, not knowing what they will do if he reaches them.
The Kretlin Squad Leader orders the spore drone to chase him down, his conscience was a privilege and can be taken from him. The Infantryman takes cover behind the bridge post.

The sniper droops forwards as its leg supports collapse. Its legs buckle beneath it and its spine makes ominous crackling noises.
Without the supports it simply can't keep itself upright.
The overseer is busy summoning the troops and thus doesn't notice the human approaching with the rest of his patrol in hot pursuit.
And no matter how hard he tries the guard just can't grab hold of that corpse without losing his balance ):
Daaaawwww

The Spore drone shoots and hits the fleeing conscript right in the back with a healthy spore. It will soon take hold of the mans mind.
The SL and infantryman move up, one at a time. The SL sends out a message via the bridge communications panel. The sniper takes another shot at the enemy on the rock.

As the command centre flares into view, it sends lines of force rippling through the surrounding environment.
Already weakened, the rock pillars above give out an ominous cracking sound and begin to shake, as weight is shifted onto the pillar with an enormous hole in it.
The overseer admits, he maybe should have put a little more thought into this.
Why would the pillar break? Wouldn't just the stone on top of it fall off?
He already drilled through it.
The other one also broke.
That I cannot explain.
Heh, my Mingebags are coming back to life :buddy:!
