When i was checking some avatars on facepunch i found bunch of transparent avatars please tell me how to make one.
GIMP, Paint.net, Photoshop. Take your pick.
You need an advanced image editing program such as Photoshop or The Gimp.
The first step is to extract the main portion of your avatar from any existing background. In Photoshop, a transparent background is (usually) denoted by a grey/white checkerboard pattern.
After this, save as a .PNG and there you go. You now have an avatar with a transparent background.
Invisible ink.

Use photoshop, then convert it png.

Anyways in gimp you can use alpha filter or erase.
Use Paint.NET, use the magic wand tool on the parts you want transparent and press Del.
I already used photoshop, saved it as .PNG and still didnt work :(
80 x 80 pixels or less, any more and it won't work.
I never used photoshop but try doing the same steps I posted.

did you upload it to 3 different image hosting sites and save it in a folder by itself then delete the folder right after uploading?

You have to delete the white bits, i suggest using magic wand tool cause it's easier.
You'll probably have to duplicate the layer then delete the original first.

clearly you did it wrong.
open it in photoshop. delete the white with eraser. save as png. how do you fuck this up.

You need to get paint.net and then bring the opacity down to like 40%, then save as a .png. GOOD LUCK

OP your avatar is transparent to us you're just seeing a cached version on your end

1. drag picture you want to make transparent into the Photoshop icon
2. use background eraser tool (drop menu from eraser)
3. save as .png
4. delete system 32
