Of course it's a big deal when the Xbox has a few technical problems, while nobody really gave two shits that the PS4 wouldn't even turn on in some instances.

I work for PC world / Curry's customer support, we received a hell of a lot of calls yesterday ( over 15% of total volume ) related to Xbox One day one problems most of them were that the disk wouldn't go all the way into the cd drive and it just spinned the disk then grinded.
feel sorry for people who pre-ordered and waited and now they're stuck waiting for up to another week to get a new one replaced from Microsoft, since our stores practically have none in stock except pre-orders at the moment.
Oh, MS really can't get a break. RIP Xbone.
Now let's wait and see some percentages.

What the hell is up with microsoft and disk drives on their consoles.
MS just can't build anything right, I have to squeeze the top of my 360 to stop it from making the kind of BRRRRRT sound you hear from an A-10 Thunderbolt (similar volume too)

Ehh, I'd say the Surface devices are as solid as anything else on the market, and their mouse and keyboards are solid.
I know things don't always go right but at the moment we spend an absolute fortune on consoles, Xbox One being the most expensive console out at the moment. You wouldn't expect something to go wrong like the disk drive. I would probably say it's down to the quality of the disk drive, maybe they've cut down on costs and this is what has it has to lead to. Shame really because not only this but the Kinect with voice control seems really rubbish too.
