This is my favorite Fallout New Vegas vault. I was so thrilled after a hour of exploring every little room and corner, I found out it's secrets that I decided to make a video telling you about it's main story. Don't worry for the spoilers. Sure there is moments that you could discover on your own and be stunned, but this video covers it in an atmospheric way, not just "lol this happens"
The occasional static fuzz was not intentional, I experimented with different rendering settings.

Terrible :smith: I feel so sorry for them.

When I first discovered this on my own, my hands were shaking. Imagine what they felt.
It's like that experiment they did a few decades ago with the electric shock and the old guy, they wanted to see how long it'd take before they'd stop shocking the person.
This video did touch me a little, but near the end when you sit and stood up from the chair it really ruined the immersion. Amazing game, but cheap ass engine. :sigh:
good idea for a thread ruined by

While he parties like a classy person.
TRASE is so boss.
Is that the LOST soundtrack I hear in the long tunnel? Perfect fit

So it was, I should watch the entire video before commenting next time. That was awesome. Some real Darma Initiative Shit
GOD DAMNIT
FO has got to be one of the best story telling games ever, if only the damn engine wasn't so funky, this reminds me of the vault in FO3 where you learn about the PA system giving subliminal messages.
What irks the shit out of me more is it seems each vault had some sort of twisted nick to it, why is this? I better see some DLC that explains the makers and leaders of Vault Tech.
okay guys before i watch this... is this gonna spoil to much of new vegas :)??

Nothing of the wasteland was even shown there. Only the vault, nothing related to outside story.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vaults#List_of_known_Vaults - fun read
"A Vault is a type of a subterranean installation designed by Vault-Tec. Officially, they were designed for the sole purpose of sheltering up to one thousand dwellers from a nuclear holocaust. But, they were actually used as an experiment for the government."

That is because they were all experiments, they weren't really built to protect anyone.
That is because they were all experiments, they weren't really built to protect anyone.
it could be the perfect horror movie
i mean.. why havn't any one made a real movie of fallout it would be a great storry and all
That is because they were all experiments, they weren't really built to protect anyone.
Well, they did protect them after all. Only some of the vault had such terrible experiments. Most of them was just to open in 10, 20, 100, 200 etc years, while being safe and protect. Vault 101 for example, was meant to be sealed forever, but it was still safe.
Fuck me, When I did this Vault, I tried to do it as quick as fucking possible, the fucking Mantises dude
One thing I've always hated about the vaults, is when the door opens, makes it scary for some reason.

yeah but not all vaults had a fucked up crazy experiments like that one vault in Fallout3 where its all music allmost indside
I remember reading a poem once about a village where they sacrificed one person that was picked by a lottery. This video reminded me of that, so much.
But it brings up rather disturbing questions about humanity, really. Who here can honestly say that they wouldn't sacrifice someone if the entire vault (or family, or whatever) was at risk?
If we had no way of knowing what would happen if we didn't sacrifice someone?

The experiment in Vault 101 was the overseer.
Uhhh, it was actually the preservation of pure humanity...
One of the main themes of the Fallout 3 storyline...
Wow thats epic. I love the new fallout, its so damn good.
so what killed them in the end?

From the wiki "The purpose of Vault 101 in the Vault Experiment was to test the role of the Overseer."
From the wiki "The purpose of Vault 101 in the Vault Experiment was to test the role of the Overseer."
Well then the wiki is wrong.
The whole, "preservation of purity in humanity" makes far more sense, as it has a lot to do with the Enclave storyline, and the storyline of Fallout 3 in general.
And the Overseer himself talks a lot about the whole preserving perfect human nonsense in the Homefront Quest. And plenty before that, I'm sure.

But that is not what the purpose of the vault was, it was to test an all-knowing/powerful overseer and see how that would affect the people living there, other then that it was a normal working vault.
I love the whole idea of social experiments or whatever it is the Fallout games present with the Vaults
At around 2:30 one of the guys in the conversation sounds like Solid Snake lol.
yup but i do also remember that it was pretty damn creppy entering a old vault in fallout3 like that one where you you see your dad and so on.. that was damn creppy
so what killed them in the end?
Suicide. But there is only 4 shots and 4 sceletons. Which differs from what they said that there is only 5. I'm sure we can find the fifth guy alive somewhere.
I might wait until i play the game before watching this video.
