In a state where conventional fireworks are illegal (Maine), this is the next best thing:

This is basically what I do when I have schoolwork but don't feel like doing it. And I know the editing is shit; I just wanted to show the powder going up.
i was expecting you to torch your camera on accident in the beginning :I
how do you get the poswer off the stick?

You find a way
Put it in a bowl of tinfoil for a better effect.
Makes a really blinding light.
Sparkler bombs are much better if you like to run from police.
That stuff is basically thermite, you could use it to ruin some metal. :P
You really suck at filming. Why the fuck would you turn the camera away on the last one? Were you afraid it was going to explode?
I gotta try this though.

He DOES live in a state where fireworks are illegal you know.

What does that have to do with him being crap at filming?
We used to do this all the time, you have to use the big paper sparklers though since those are the ones you can knock the power out of, the metal ones with the powder stuck to the stick are really only good for fuses.
We generally would empty about 5 whole sparklers into a pile (sparklers are about 3-4 ft long) and use one of the cheap ones to blow up the pile.

Nothing, I was blatantly pointing out that he is inexperienced with fireworks
I remember doing this as a kid. We only have those metal wire sparklers, but they are fine for it. You just need to bend them a little and the power breaks away from it. I remember all the times that someone would accidentally break the one we had saved for a fuse and we would have to do some other stupid method to light it.

I didn't say anything about fireworks. But you know what, let's just end this discussion and be friends!
great fucking camerawork
THAT IS AMAZING
Haha, you Mainers are easily amused
ITT mainers being dumb and overly cautious with sparkler powder.
omg sparklers are so fun and edgy
You kids are depraved of fun.
Yeah, the last one got really hot and I didn't expect it (I used 30 sticks worth of powder in it :\ ) so I turned the camera away.

I do, little over an hour from where that clip was filmed. Nice state if you like hicks, pine trees, bears, and the like, but you probably already know that. :v:

Over here that's considered an artillery barrage, enough excitement for a week or two.
Where I live it's illegal to have sparklers because of this.
