There have been many proposals of eco-towns that will be environmentally friendly mostly Rackheath and Elsenham in the UK possibly more over the world. What do you think of the new eco-towns that are going to be built? they sound like a bullshitty answer to global warming, building more towns to use less energy doesn't work because you need to have more energy to support these people and it should be converting the current towns to eco-friendly towns. I also find it terribly invasive to just build over a nice green piece of countryside.
Aw lawd, is this where they drink their filtered piss?
I agree, convert the existing towns. It'll cost more but take less space.

Didn't China try this first, but everyone nearly starved to death?
I've learned in my tenure here never to take anyone with a Nazi avatar seriously. Oh wait, this is actually a decent level-headed thread that makes sense and doesn't suggest the slaughter of millions as a solution to all our problems.
Loads of people are protesting against it. They have a go at the government for doing nothing for the environment but when they do people complain. Their excuse will be something stupid like "you're going to destroy 1 habitat" even though the animals can just bugger off else where.
aren't they proposing one of these where dunsfold park is now?
bio domes would work better
