Why do a lot of atheists dicks to anyone who isn't? - General

Generalization would be saying all atheists are dicks, and I'm not saying that.

"But a lot of people" Is also obviously an attempt to pool athiests together and get a horde of said athiests to flood into the thread screaming "NO WE'RE NOT FUCK OFF"

but you say a lot, which means the majority of the atheist community. how many atheists have you actually met?

I don't see too many athiests that are dicks if you don't conform to not believing in god. I'm athiest and the only people I'm a dick to over religion are the ones that try to push it on me. I actually have a friend that became a rabbai, you know what I did when he came back to his home town to do his first service? I drove down there and sat through the whole service, participated when I was supposed to, congradulated him after, and went home. As long as none of them decided to push their religion on me I had no reason to be a dick, they were all for the most part welcoming and kind, even after I told a couple people in conversation that I was athiest and that I only came back to the temple after so many years for my friend

Religion kills people, intellectuals are sick of it. If a few people get offended, then so be it, we need to speak up to start something :colbert:.

Religion, society, science and tradition are all human concepts and they are subject to human folly and in most cases can be corrupted. I don't believe in God and I have my reasons but I do believe that Jesus existed but not as a "son of God". More like a dude who had a bad temper.
