[quote]At an as-yet-unknown date sometime in 2013, Apple's Senior Vice President, iOS Software Scott Forstall will be leaving Apple. Forstalls role is being reduced immediately, and Jony Ive will be taking over leadership and direction for Human Interface. The other aspects of Forstall's position will be doled out to various other members of Apple's existing executive team.
Forstall had been primarily responsible for Apple's increasingly skeuomorphic UI design, and his departure could very well mean that drastic changes in the look and feel of Apple's software aren't far behind.

I'm cumming oh god
I hear there's rumours on the internets that his departure is at least partially because of the Maps debacle

Gonna be interesting with Jony Ive designing software, no idea how that's going to turn out really
If he had anything to do with the changes to the music center of iOS6... I am not impressed, and won't miss him.
Good riddance, prick. Please let his replacement have more balls. As nice as iOS is, I'm so bored of this grid shit. The only thing they added to the UI lately is changing status bar colours. Yay. Meanwhile look at Android.
With the Nexus 4 being so dirt cheap and with Android seeing colossal improvements on a monthly basis, Apple needs to come up with some good fucking reasons to keep iOS users on iOS, and they needed to hire somebody worth a shit a few months ago. Better late than never.

Nu-uh, those were some great changes.
I'm not surprised. iOS 6 felt like a downgrade more than an upgrade. All I've noticed is that it actually removed more than it added.
Apparently I'm the only one who doesn't mind iOS's UI.
I don't necessarily mind it
i'm just getting really fed up with skeuomorphism
Scott Forstall had some pretty good keynotes I have to admit

This is really ugly
finally, I may be able to hide or remove newsstand yet
This is good, all the good design aspects of Apple products is Ive's work, all the bad ones like skeuomorphism is Forstall's work
