Time to Nostalgia Where do I start? Honestly, I've been sitting here wondering where I should start... I'm making this thread mainly for the kids of the 90's but I guess this thread is targeted to anyone who can remember the 90's. Also, some of the things I mention about the 90's such as some T.V shows started in the 80's and it's seasons continued into the 90's. Yeah some things I will mention weren't created in the 90's but that's not the point, this will include things that were created in the 90's but also things that were generally well known in the 90's but are now forgotten. So please no "That started in 1989!" comments, thanks. I was born in 1990 and I miss the 90's like crazy. I know dwelling on the past isn't something you should do, but there's always time to look back at not only your past but the past of the world around you. I live today and carry on doing what I'm doing and when I do, I don't care about the past because it's not in my mind. But when I do stop to think about my past, I just sit there for a long time ... I'm not one to cry, but when I reminisce I feel like a tear is about to form in my eye. Isn't it weird that kids born after the 90's are old enough to talk to us? Back in 1998 I used to think .. "Pff kids born after me are way to young to do the things I can!" ... now ... those kids are studying in high school, graduating high school, entering college/University. When I see kids today, I keep forgetting that they were born in as early as 2006. I'm just so used to thinking everyone has "19" in front of their birth year. I like to think that we're the last generation to exist before the final transition to the age of technology. Kids born into this era will be born into the era of being able to buy anything from across the planet simply by the push of a button on the keyboard. Holding tiny little devices that has the worlds information in it while also being touch screen. Yeah sure online shopping existed in the 90's but it wasn't very mainstream, to this day I have never met anyone who shopped online in the 90's. If I can remember correctly the internet didn't really take off until 1998 and even then it was just 56k Modem. I would hear things about Broadband and Cable but I didn't know many people who had it. Today it's the complete opposite. Who the hell has 56k anymore? The point is I believe the 90's was the last decade in human history where you couldn't live every aspect of your life through a virtual world. Don't you miss the awesome cartoons on the 90's? Or even just 90's television for that matter. I feel so lucky that I grew up with awesome cartoons and sitcoms. I can't name one cartoon for children today that can equal to the awesomeness of the 90's cartoons. I don't like sitcoms like Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men ... I know many people do, but the fact is, no matter how much you like these shows you gotta admit they will never compare to shows like Seinfeld, old school Simpsons, Rugrats etc... What ever happen to Disney? I remember watching awesome shows like The Gummi Bears and Talespin, now it's Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place ... and don't get me started on Cartoon Network, we all know what happened there, we just don't know why. Enough of my ranting, start scrolling. Thread Music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhjL0eenQ_Y GummiBerry Juice! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8XKhCfsTts What do you guys miss most about the 90's? I think back to all the people I've met, where are they now? I've seen some of them on Facebook, some have families, some are married, some live overseas. That's only a handful of the people I used to know. I wonder where my preschool friends are, my Kindergarten friends, my primary/elementary friends ... what are they doing this moment? The people I finger painted with, the people I traded Pokemon cards with, the people I obsessed Dragon Ball Z over with, rode bicycles with during a sunny day, played on the monkey bars at the local park. I shared such fun memories with these people and chances are, I'll never speak to them again, let alone see them. There's a million things you miss of the 90's but just like me, you probably forgot all about them. Oh and by the way, Admit it, when you saw this movie as a kid, you ran with your hands straight because you thought it made you run faster.

Good thing I saw it later and was able to appreciate how beautifully it has aged.
I ran with my hands straight because Olympic runners do it. I miss ren and stimpy :suicide:
Who remembers going to this. to get these.
It seems like the 90s weren't so much about money, that's why everything is better. Of course, thats not true at all, but I like to think it is.
;31547376'] Admit it, when you saw this movie as a kid, you ran with your hands straight because you thought it made you run faster.
I'll never forgot scaring the shit out of my brother after he saw this film. I can't remember how old we were, but I remember stealing two of these from my mum's vacuum cleaner and putting my fingers in the circular hole so it looked like my hands had turned into them. I then ran after my brother down the street and he ended up crying. Fun times
Who remembers going to this.
I lost count how many times my parents rented Theme Park World for me on the Playstation. Then my neighbour's son moved out and asked her to take his Playstation and games to a boot sale. She gave them to us for free. Some of the games I already had, like Rayman. But one of them was Theme Park World, and I was so amazingly happy.
mine had the airport side cut off I never was able to get my citizens to leave
Who remembers going to this. to get these.
We had Hollywood Video Was amazing, and had a gamestore connected right to it. Shame they closed down really, they had great service and never asked where one game I rented was. I still have it.
;31547376'] Admit it, when you saw this movie as a kid, you ran with your hands straight because you thought it made you run faster.
GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HEAD!!
I just realized that 1990-2000 and 2000-2010 were.. ten years each, each just as long. That's 20 years between them. How time passes, how fast things change.
Also; who were watched Digimon. Sure, everyone watched Pokemon, but man, Digimon was awesome too.
Also; who were watched Digimon. Sure, everyone watched Pokemon, but man, Digimon was awesome too.
The Digimon movie was pretty good, I still find that huge rabbit Digimon slightly creepy
Also; who were watched Digimon. Sure, everyone watched Pokemon, but man, Digimon was awesome too.
I remember the day they showed the first episode, ah good times [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] So much nostalgia in this thread
I genuinely ran with my hands straight to go faster I was born in 95' though, but my dad made sure I played all the old games and watched all the old films.
I didn't have a car city carpet...
I didn't have a car city carpet...
Your parents didn't love you.
I didn't have a car city carpet...
Neither did I, but I did have that Micro Machines van that folded out into a city playset which was pretty cool.
I played with these so much as a kid. I would crash them into each other as hard as I could.
Car city carpet was THE shit.

These shows were so awesome Oh and This was the shit

I was born in 1995 so I didn't get much of the 90s but my brother was born in 1988 so I got all his 90s gangster shit handed down to me and he introduced me to Half-Life when I was like like 7 although I forgot about it and didn't rediscover it until 2007 Also 1995 was probably the last year you could be born where Cartoon Network still showed 90s shows until you outgrew them
What about N64 games and pokemon?
Car carpet city! I still have this one, we never got to change it :v: Also, almost everything in the OP is true, although we had some other popular TV shows here. Wait, where are the Power Rangers?
