I spent a lot of time on this. Let me know what you think!
It looks nice

thanks, I think
That wasn't bad, but it looked like it used a lot of raw gameplay. A little plain.
I think you're going to the University of Southern California as a freshman in the School of Cinematic arts next fall. :smug:

well what can I say, it did. this wasn't some major project; I was playing DS2 when I heard I Am The Heroic come on over foobar2000 and I felt like it really matched the atmosphere. I love the game and I enjoy editing every now and then so I decided to record a playthrough with FRAPS (of course it wasn't that simple and every camera shot was purposeful and painstakingly designed) and make it into a montage.

Really well done, Music is really insync with whats going on.
Why does this annoy me?

thank you. I spent a lot of time editing video on the level of fractions of a second in order to perfectly sync jump cuts and what not to the beat. there are a lot of jump cuts that you probably didn't notice and are very difficult to see but are used to make some clips seem effortlessly synced and then there are the super blatant ones. to give you a sense of what I was working with, this is my timeline in vegas (dat organization):

all those tiny slivers were created by making incredibly tiny subclips for jump cuts.
and Dan Barrett from Enemies List Home Recordings tweeted my video on the EL twitter page, and that was a pretty substantial reward for me. I hold the man in very high regard as a musician and human being.
this was also my first montage, so I hope that I can improve.

errrr I'm not sure :(
cause I always use the horizontal cut on their legs, that's what irks me :V

oh, haha. I usually don't switch because I just chop off their arms with a vertical slice and then shoot at the bend in the legs like I do in the video
One of my favorite games and was a treat to watch.

I'm a legs first man myself.

Actually, I am as well and noticed your video on the freshman facebook page and then saw it here and had a massive hit of deja vu.
