With some different music that could have been really eerie, Very war of the worlds but that song was really not fitting at all.
Title is a bit misleading though since only like 5% of that was actual edited footage.

It's supposed to be inspired from WoTW's, in fact I recall seeing the main website for this and I think the guy said it's actually supposed to be that. Though if thats the case he's got the whole period wrong as the martians landed in the late 1800's, not 1900's.
It kinda reminds me of the animatrix second Renaissance.
reminds me that we really need a PROPER War of the Worlds horror/thriller movie set in the late 1800's/early 1900's

I'm not sure if this is footage from or its inspired by a "Documentary" on History last year called "The Great Martian War"
It was like a normal world war program but had interviews from actors speaking about their experiences in the great martian war.

The footage is straight from the mockumentary.
The some of the animation feels way too smooth for black and white film. The bests bits in there are when they're moving at a lower fps.

I really like the design of the tripods. They're a lot better than the Speilberg tripods.
Its a cool concept, but the CGI elements looked way too crisp and sharp compared to the footage. I feel like the composting could have used a little polish but other than that, it's really cool

Yeah, that would be sweet, how the war started off real, but then by 1915 or so it became a huge coverup for the Martian invasion.
Just watched the documentary this was from. It's cool as Hell, everyone should check it.
makes me wish there was a game for this with war of the worlds 2005 steven spielberg edition. i looked everywhere like mods from crysis, or HL2 were close to that, since they have some sort of related alien walker in the game. Sadly there isn't any. I think it would be pretty cool when having a FPS style of game where you have to survive from those giant tripods. or an battle, whether you choose US or those alien tripods.
