Why is it that Rts communities like Starcraft, Heroes of Newerth, and Dota are always mean? I'm thinking it's because the people get so fustrated when they're losing and end up yelling into the mic.

I have to agree, I hate it when people get so worked up over a game.
What's worse, is FORUM communities, if you make a legitimate observation of an obvious flaw in a game, or any other kind of reasonable observation or suggestion, you're either seething with rage or crying floods of tears. It's as if there only exists two emotional states as far as such communities are concerned.
I know most of the time, if not all of the time, they're exaggerating for effect, but it long since passed the point where it's humour has all but dissipated, it's no longer funny, original or witty, and it never was.
