ReBoot is a Canadian CGI-animated action-adventure television series that originally aired from 1994 to 2001. The show was developed by Mainframe Entertainment, now known as Rainmaker Animation in Vancouver, Canada.
The show takes place in the inside of a computer, which its inhabitants call Mainframe. Mainframe is split up into 6 parts, Baudway, Kits(named after Kitsilano), Floating Point Park, Beverly Hills, Wall Street, and Ghetty Prime. Occasionally gigantic "Game Cubes" appear in a district, this happens when the User loads a game. When in a gamecube you need to play against the user. If you lose then the entire sector is wiped out, in gamecubes ( or gamescapes as they are called when you are inside it) you need to "Reboot" to become a game character.

Summary
The first season of ReBoot was highly episodic, with each installment being a self-contained episode. Most of the episodes established characters, locations, and story elements.
The second season of reboot started a brand new story arc, which all started with the 5th episode in the season titled "Nullzilla", the arc revealed that Megabyte and hexadecimal are siblings, and that megabyte referred to his pet nibbles as father, It also introduced "The Web", a creature from the Web entered mainframe using hexadecimals looking glass, the creature then bonded with her and became a creature of nulls, referred to as "nullzilla" . All of the protectors of mainframe eventually defeated nullzilla and hexadecimal but the webcreature then found Megabyte, it caused megabyte and hexadecimal to fuse and become "Gigabyte" . Gigabyte was later neutralized but the web creature was not defeated, as it flee'd into the bowels of mainframe, where it began stealing energy inorder to stay alive, Mouse, an old friend of bobs, and a mercenary helped bob find the Web Creature, but she was almost destroyed by a bomb which was set by the person she was working for, Turbo. Bob took the bomb to a safe distance so nobody would be harmed and possibly nullified, the explosion of the bomb caused a tear in mainframe which the Web creature used to create a portal to the Web, the protectors of mainframe then had to team up with megabyte and hexadecimal in order to close the portal, the army which consisted of all the protectors, hexadecimal and megabyte unveiled a new weapon, " The Hardware " which is a large cannon that destroys the portal by a large blast of energy, megabyte betrays the protectors and throws bob into the web and crushed his keytool, glitch. Megabyte then closes the portal.
The third season of the show started with enzo, who has been freshly upgraded into a guardian candidate by bob when all of the stuff about the web was going on. Enzo defends mainframe with dot and AndrAla, later on Enzo enters a game that he cant win, so he, AndrAla and frisket change to game sprite mode and ride the game out of mainframe. The accelerated time of this happening caused Enzo and AndrAla to mature much faster, thus becoming adults. Enzo( now known just as Matrix) and AndrAla now search the web looking for mainframe, Enzo is armed with his weapon called Gun and bobs broken keytool, glitch. In this time Matrix has developed a intense hatred towards megabyte and is now extremely muscular, AndrAla is now a much more calm warrior, as the season progresses and episodes go by Matrix and AndrAla start a romantic relationship. later on the two are reunited with Bob and journey back to mainframe, which is very much nearly destroyed by megabyte, they reunite with dot and her resistance and eventually defeat megabyte, but he caused all the systems to crash before being defeated, the user then resets the system and setting all things right, and since Matrix was in game sprite mode the entire time, the system didn't recognize him thus turning him into his younger self after the reset.
After the third season two movies were produced, Daemon rising and My Two Bobs, which brings back a very corroded and mutated Megabyte in a cliffhanger ending. The two movies, broken up into eight episodes in its U.S. run on Cartoon Network's Toonami, revealed much of Mainframe's history, including the formation of Lost Angles, Bob's arrival in the system, and the origin of Megabyte and Hexadecimal. plans for season 4 were eventually split into 3 movies, which were then split into 12 episodes and a 13th musical episode, the last 5 episodes were never complete so it remains a cliffhanger.
THE REVIVAL
On June 1, 2008, it was announced that there will be a trilogy of ReBoot films coming to theaters by Rainmaker. Jon Cooksey was assigned to write the script for the first film, but as of August 2008, he was dropped due to Rainmaker deciding to take a different direction with the story. At this time, it is unknown who will replace him.
The movie is currently listed as "In development" on the IMdB website and is slated for a 2010 release. A teaser of the film was released in October 5th 2009, it can be viewed here http://www.rainmaker.com/?/home/work/6

This.
I fucking loved this show so so so much.
I remember this show.
I remember it being one of the first cartoons being cheapskates by using terrible CG instead of drawing something decent like cartoons used to be.

These days most of the cartoon studios got a piece of software with a [Generate New Cartoon] button.
FYI the hunt is still on.
I used to watch this on the one canadian channel we had
I remember this show somewhat.
I remember there was this episode where Bob got cloned for some reason and there was a Brady Bunch parody I think.
Shit. That brings me back. Too bad they haven't finish the series.
Best freaking show ever. Gotta love Hex.
I loved this show. I only saw a little when I was a kid but I've looked it up and watched all of it since.

Daemon

Daemon is a SUPER VIRUS that successfully infected the super computer, turning it into her own domain. Daemon looks unlike all other viruses, having no spikes or claws, instead looking like a cute young girl. She is a "cron" virus and aims to infect others, hopefully eventually infecting everybody.

I don't remember this character at all. Was she in like, one episode?

Yeah I don't think they put any extreme amount of effort into consistency with the various computer references
[editline]11:47PM[/editline]
Like you better not ever win a computer game, or your system will be irreparably damaged.
I remember this show! It had really, really bad CGI.
I'd like to see you do better with early '90s technology.
I'd like to see you do better with early '90s technology.
Los Angeles, California and Vancouver, British Columbia - Shout! Factory and Rainmaker Entertainment, Inc. (TSX:RNK) announced today a new alliance to bring the groundbreaking, internationally renowned CGI animation TV series ReBoot to the home entertainment marketplace. Under its multi-year agreement with Rainmaker Entertainment, Inc., Shout! Factory will be the exclusive home entertainment distributor with digital rights to the entire action-packed series ReBoot in North America. This announcement was made by Shout! Factory founding partners Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos; and Terry Kalagian, Vice President of Business Development for Rainmaker Entertainment, Inc.

"ReBoot fans have been urging us to release the series on DVD," said Terry Kalagian, VP of Business Development for Rainmaker. "We are overjoyed to have finally found the perfect partners at Shout! Factory to help give fans what they want."
Hailed by critics and fans alike, ReBoot made history for being the first fully computer-generated animated TV series. Its unique setting inside a computer allows ReBoot to mine the references to computers and video games for all they're worth, giving the show its humorous edge. ReBoot was originally seen on North American television in 1994 on YTV in Canada and on ABC Television in the U.S. The series ran four successful seasons, and was eventually seen in over 70 countries around the world. The innovative animation, insider humor and high octane action combine to give fans a lot of binary bang for their buck.
Dot Matrix and her brother Enzo, plus thousands of friendly binomes, live in Mainframe, which is plagued by viruses Megabyte and sister strain Hexadecimal. Guardian Bob is sent from the Net to protect them, and soon makes it his home. Together, they must prevent Megabyte from taking control of all the systems. As an added complication, games being played by the mystical User invade the system regularly, and must be defeated, or else portions of the city are laid waste... this gives us a chance to see every genre of video-game ever conceived, from the point of view of the characters! When Megabyte finally manages to banish Bob, Enzo takes over as the city's Guardian, but things will never be quite the same.
Shout! Factory plans an aggressive rollout of the ReBoot home entertainment product-line, beginning with the collectible Complete Series DVD box set release and digital distribution in 2011.
Rainmaker Entertainment Inc., a multifaceted animation studio, is one of Canada's largest producers of CG animation. I Guess ReBoot, is getting a "Reboot"
I'm not sure if it's a good idea, I mostly prefer waiting for another TV movie based on the script for the last episode that had never made because it was canceled.
Unfortunately, the voice actor who play as Megabyte died so... yeah.
I had no idea it was a Canadian show.
