It's so goddamn true it hurts
God I wish I was a kid. Then I wouldn't have go wake up, go on the internet, and hear about how everything related to gaming sucks, and how all games are tainted by sin and corruption. Can't I just have those days where I could play any game because it looked like fun?
God I wish I was a kid. Then I wouldn't have go wake up, go on the internet, and hear about how everything related to gaming sucks, and how all games are tainted by sin and corruption.
Like pretty much everything else in life.
Like pretty much everything else in life.
Nah, everything else in life is expected. Gaming should be something I can enjoy at the end of a long day, not be told that even my favorite hobby is corrupted.
Nah, everything else in life is expected. Gaming should be something I can enjoy at the end of a long day, not be told that even my favorite hobby is corrupted.
You didn't have to watch the video? Gaming and the Gaming Industry are two different topics anyways.
Nah, everything else in life is expected. Gaming should be something I can enjoy at the end of a long day, not be told that even my favorite hobby is corrupted.
Well I'm afraid that's the state of the industry. You can feel free to ignore it if you so wish, but don't expect everyone else to do so just because you don't like to see your hobby face criticism.
graphics don't even look that downgraded, or worth mentioning at all. gameplay still looks like a massive gimmick though. can't wait till people play it for 15 mins and then realize it's garbage
graphics don't even look that downgraded, or worth mentioning at all. gameplay still looks like a massive gimmick though. can't wait till people play it for 15 mins and then realize it's garbage
It was advertised as one of the big next steps of graphical prowess alongside games like Metal Gear Solid 5 and other PS4/Xbone titles. Infact, it was among the very first next-gen games even shown. As Jim himself said, it doesn't look terrible - it just looks.. current-gen, like any other sandbox title nowadays except without anything but the hacking to call its own.
it seems likely that the story trailer is filmed w/ the current gen assets and the e3 one with max settings on pc assets. the reasons for this is probably to lower the current gen owners (read: majority) of the game's expectations, as the game won't look nearly as good on last/current gen (whatever we call it now)
I'm hoping that's true. I really am. I was looking forward to a graphical advancement from Watch Dogs. Unfortunately from everything revolving around it, it doesn't seem like a high chance.
assuming there was a PC version, I always assumed that it would max out to look like the E3 version.
Nah, everything else in life is expected.
assuming there was a PC version, I always assumed that it would max out to look like the E3 version.
There is a PC version, and I think it will.
Ubisoft did address the whole issue instead of skirting around it not too long ago. They said that the PC version was going to look better than what they showed in the 2012 presentation. They also said that they are going to be showing more footage of PC gameplay between now and the release date. EA does this. activision does this. hell, valve would probably do it if they were getting flak too.

They'd be shooting themselves in the foot with a hand cannon.
i wouldn't put it past them. ubisoft has made stupider decisions in their life.
I stopped playing Ubisoft games after AC:B, so I'll have to trust you on that.
Ubisoft got way better when they decided to remove their stupid always-online DRM policy from their games, but them pulling shit like this is retarded I mean like he said, the game doesn't look terrible, it looks okay but in comparison to the E3 preview, it does look like shit

All I did and everyone I knew did was build cool stuff in the creator.
I did because I thought the game would have a good campaign. I was hype as fuck for the space stage. This game fucking betrayed me and broke my trust for publishers forever.
This game fucking betrayed me and broke my trust for publishers forever.
So one game breaks your trust for publishers forever Alright then.
So one game breaks your trust for publishers forever Alright then.
Well then there was also crysis 2, colonial marines, duke nukem forever, modern warfare 2, assassin's creed revelations, assassin's creed 3, bulletstorm...
If they're going to bullshit on trailers, they shouldn't be allowed to put up a pre-order. Or atleast have a big red text flashing on the trailer screaming [THIS WILL BE DOWNGRADED IN FULL RELEASE]. [editline]18th March 2014[/editline]
Well then there was also crysis 2, colonial marines, duke nukem forever, modern warfare 2, assassin's creed revelations, assassin's creed 3, bulletstorm...
I've also heard people say that the console versions of Dark Souls II looks nothing like the gameplay trailers.
I've also heard people say that the console versions of Dark Souls II looks nothing like the gameplay trailers.
What? It looks like DS1 in the videos. Is it looking better on consoles?
But I loved this game
You could have loved it more :(
What? It looks like DS1 in the videos. Is it looking better on consoles?
The lightning and environment quality seems to be way worse than in the trailers. But I'll wait for the PC version, they might've downscaled the graphics on the console versions.
You could have loved it more :(
I too focus on what things could be rather than what they are.
