Hi, i just bought an electric drumkit and im confused on what i would need for a amplifier. Heres the front And the back Sorry they're large but its easier to see whats written underneath the inputs Im wondering if its just a 1/4inch plug from the "phones" on the front to a generic p.a sytem, or do i need to buy a drum monitor that accepts two (L&R) 1/4inch plugs coming from "main output" on the back. I'd like to know as it would pretty save me alot of money knowing i can use a p.a which has alot of uses over a drum monitor which is pretty limited Thanks for reading
I think you can use the headphones plug to jack into a amplifier(via xlr cables). If not, you need either two xlr's or stereo cables for the main outputs(but they're mostly used to connect with sound-cards for recording in DAW's)
Thats what i was thinking, i need to get a p.a system anyway and if i can plug it into one i can kill two birds with one stone, saving the need for a seperate drum monitor. The p.a in questions like this I was hoping to use a 1/4 inch from phone on the dm5 module straight into the 1/4 inch input on a channel
The brain you got with the kit should be good enough. Just jack it in from the phones-output into the input of the amp.
Nice, that saves me a good £100 thanks very much
