This is a thread for everything awe and curiosity inspiring and a feeling of smallness. For me, personally, these things tend to either be space or oceanic. The primary focus is nature, but it can be anything that really gives you a sense of wonder.

Astronomy in general is pretty awesome. I love reading about distant bodies and the things we don't yet know about our own solar system.

Life on other planets

Most people probably know about the idea that Europa may carry life. But I like to think of the organisms and the potential size of the organisms that could inhabit Europa. Actually, this article lists two others that I thought would be possible places:

I couldn't find a sea creature that's larger than the blue whale in history, but it's still neat to know that we live with the largest known organism.

Another organism that I'm interested in all of a sudden is quetzalcoatlus. Even though this organism isn't of a godlike size, think about seeing one of these fly next time you look at giraffes in the zoo.
