I'm back home for the Summer and I'm depressed/lovesick. There's this boy in college who's a friend of my friend (we're all freshmen). Whenever we bump into each other on campus without my friend to mediate, we just say hi or wave, but we never really talk. He looks like a teenage surfer dude complete with the long blonde hair and all. Because of the hair, which is coupled with quite feminine facial features, he looks like a girl, and a very pretty one at that.
Man, I've spent much of the last semester lying in bed, thinking about this guy. I've found that my heterosexuality is more flexible than I had previously thought. Although, wouldn't the fact that it's the feminine qualities in this boy which are attracting me, actually AFFIRM my hetero-ness?
Anyway, I've decided that when we reconvene in the Fall, I'm going to start talking to him, befriend him etc. The problem is that if I actually ask him out, I have absolutely no idea how he'll react. My worry is if he rejects me, laughs and then tells people about it. He's from North Carolina so he was probably raised to despise anything remotely homo. Maybe I could ply him with alcohol and hope something happens?
