Pretty damn sad and unexpected.
Damn, it's always a shame to hear when people just take their own lives like that. Always has me wonder what lead them up to it.

as with most child actors, substance abuse. apparently the family sent him to his grandma's house where he committed suicide.

edit: Not that there's ever a good reason for committing suicide unless you are painfully dying already.

Judging from the URL of that picture, that was taken in 2010 when he was around 14.
