I'm not listing any myself, as I'm looking for some to rent on the weekends to watch with my girlfriend. When I look at the horror section at my local store, I get nothing. None of them stand out anymore.
So, list some good ones if you would. Avoid classics like Jason, Halloween, Friday the 13th, the Shining etc., seen them already.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man.
But it's more trippy than scary.
the shining
paranormal activity was pretty spooky i thought (mb im just a puss though)
The Thing?
I didn't see the whole thing, but heard of it everywhere, and the one full scene I watched scared the living crap out of me, and I'm a person who usually laughs at horror movies shown on TV.
Shutter, Japanese version.
Drag Me To Hell. (I watched it while high, might not be as scary as I thought.)
In the Mouth of Madness
Event Horizon
Jacob's Ladder
To name a few.

Audition.

Maybe it's just me, but I was bored for like 95% of the time spent watching those movies.

The only other one that I can think of off the top of my head that hasn't been listed is "Session 9"....I felt genuine dread watching that movie.

Thats the one scene that hits me the most. I was like 11 I think when the movie came out, and I thought my parents were watching the actual news. So when I pop my head in and see a fucking being from beyond strolling through a kids' party I thought the fucking thing was real. I spent the whole night fearing for my life for the alien that was hunting kids.

Signs sucked what the fuck are you people talking about?
[REC]
I don't know if I was surprised or what. When I first watched it, I had no idea what it was about. I never heard of it or watched any trailers. It was terrifying.
I thought [REC] was stupid.
Paranormal Activity was alright. I wasn't really scared too much by it, but it was interesting.

I like the end of that movie.

I forgot about Paranormal Activity. That was great also.
[REC] is all "HURF DURF WE'RE BADASS FIREMEN WE'RE GONNA FUCK SHIT UP AND TAP DAT HOT ASS REPORTER HURR DURR". The start of the movie ruined the rest of it for me basically. The ending was predictable too, plus it was even in the fucking trailer. Same with Paranormal Activity. I am very mildly disgruntled at movies that put their endings in the trailer. If you need to put an ending in the trailer, that probably means you don't have enough exciting content in the entire movie except for the last bit which shouldn't be happening.

Paranormal Activity is good, but I'm saying the ending for it was in the trailer.
1408, The Ruins, The Mist, Jaws..
