Before we go on, What IS a "3D Sound Illusion" video?
It is a Video type called "Holophonic" where, with your headphones on, close your eyes and immediately get emerssed into a "Virtual Reality" based on the sounds from the video. a good tip would be to use Noise-canceling headphones in a silent room, as that would yeild the most clear result.
A good example would be this video by RedStormProduction on Youtube:

This should be interesting.
Shame because you-tube compresses the sound and I have 5.1 headphones :(
Doesnt work very well
Needs to be more like this

This makes me very uncomfortable.

5.1 headphones are a gimmick.
You can get 360 degree sound from stereo headphones, and the diaphragm size is smaller in 5.1 headphones because they have to fit multiple in each.
How do you even get the .1 and an odd number of main channels in 2 cups anyway? :v:

I got a boner
Who's brilliant idea was it to put the OP's video in 240p.
Really breaks the immersion.

I once referenced this video in a bit of college work
In it, I talked a little bit about the technology and the potential uses, but wrote quite a bit more about how creepy it is that it's basically a presumably balding, middle-aged Italian man whispering in your ear
Also, I forgot to cut that bit before handing it in :v:
Everytime a sound shift's from left to right and vice versa i feel something thrust my heart.
weird.
Virtual barber shop is the best one.
Are there any more of these?
You know, we used to have this in games, but "modern" standards have made shitty surround down-scaling the norm.
Here's real 3D sound in action.

I think that's what they use in the dirt series, it sounds awesome!
"Really don't understand the point of these videos. I get "3d sound illusions" when playing games all the time. If someone is walking behind me I can HEAR the footsteps behind me (not just the footsteps outright). Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me.
