It's a rumor so far, but how many times have all these rumors ended up true? I'm going to take a guess here and say this is going to happen. It'd definitely get me to buy a Vita.
Would be neat if it was true. I've been needing to replace my stolen Vita, so this would be right up my alley.
i haven't heard about new vita games in over 3 months
[editline]6th August 2013[/editline]
then again there's LittleBigPlanet, so who needs other games

Persona 4 golden and hotline miami are the best vita games.
There's also GTA VCS and LCS.
I remember them saying it's not going to happen, but this would be a good deal if they changed their mind.
I hope it's true.
That would be a better package than what MS is offering for the same price.

P4G makes most new JRPG's look like absolute garbage, and it's just an updated re-release of a game that came out in 2008.
Well, that's certainly a way to get people to buy your failed handheld.
Good move. Very good move. ...If it's true of course.
The PS Vita is a glorious system, I really want to see it become popular.
If this is true, I'm straight-up ditching getting a gaming laptop and just getting this bundle.
As someone who invested hundreds upon hundreds of hours into the PSP, a Vita and a PS4 would be amazing.

Pretty risky too, since Sony loves selling at loss
And that's problematic since Vita has no games
GOD DAMMIT AND I JUST GOT A VITA THIS SUMMER
fuckin project diva

I was considering getting a Vita for the same reason but 2nd is apparently coming out for the PS4
hype
yeah i had just imported it like 3 days before they announced the ps3 version was localized
still gonna buy it and hope 2nd comes here too
If this is true, it's gonna be a day one purchase for me. A PS4 and a $100 Vita? Can't beat that.
Its obvious they are selling a massive loss if they do this, but what a better way to get it so people actually have vitas and are using them on a larger than niche scale?
The only thing I worry about is if everyone has vitas but nobody uses it to buy/play actual vita games, just using it for streaming PS4 games. Meaning sony loses a lot of money on loss-leading with this bundle and doesn't make it up with vita game sales. Reminds me of that article posted where android might be shipping at a much larger volume than iOS but hardly any manufacturers are actually making money on the platform due to the fact that so many android phones are subsidized or sold at a small loss, while iOS makes plenty per phone sold, causing iOS to make a lot more money than Android currently does.

But surely the fact that people would have vitas would mean that people would buy games for them.

You never know, some people might just see a vita game as "not being as good as the PS4 game I stream to my vita" so they might end up using it as a way to play PS4 around the house instead of using it to play dedicated vita games. Especially since a lot of people I know who have 3DS's/Vitas pretty much don't leave the house too often with them.

In that case, Sony could still make a good amount of money off of licensing the PS4 games that the consumer purchases, as well as things like PS+ subscriptions and random peripherals.
Since they're selling the PS4 at a minor profit and hardware costs can only go down for the Vita and PS4, it can't be too much of a loss they'd be operating at if they were (as the rumors preclude) even considering this bundle. I doubt people who were interesting in buying both a PS4 and a vita are the type of people who wouldn't buy any games or subscriptions for either.
Sony requires all ps4 games to support remote play to a PS vita so this may be legit
yo if this is reasonably priced in the uk im getting this shit
seriously hands down one of the best gaming deals ever ever ever
PS4 + Vita is sorta like a Wii U, really.
I like that.
So they're going toe-to-toe with Wii U, then? This'll be interesting to see.
I can see this happening, the vita is doing so bad and desperate times call desperate measures
Praying to god this is true as a Vita owner. Vita really needs a jump start, and this would do it.
Seriously, hardware wise, the Vita is a marvelous machine.
The one thing I dislike about the Vita is proprietary memory cards. Dear God. It's a fantastic system, otherwise. Great to see such power in a handheld. I just wish developers would put more into it. Other than the memory card this, it's an extremely promising system.
The Vita is really a great machine.
I got into the Killzone Mercenary Beta, it's amazing that something like this is running on pocket sized device.

it's not like it's going to run with near the same amount of latency, it wasn't built up from the ground up to do so.
Actually it was, the PS4 even has a chip in it for the purpose of encoding video of games to be streamed like OnLive.
Actually it was, the PS4 even has a chip in it for the purpose of encoding video of games to be streamed like OnLive.
Isn't the Wii U's streaming tech based in both the console and controller? Unless the Vita has those same kind of streaming chips in it as the PS4, I foresee latency.
In any case, I don't think it'll be as big a part of the PS4 as it will the Wii U, as it won't be bundled with every system so devs can't absolutely rely on it being there as an integral part of their game. Sort of how like the PS4 Eye won't be a part of the system but the Kinect will for the Xbox One.
