Meanwhile, 61 percent claim they have disabled the auto-renewal option on their accounts so as not to be charged when the trial period ends in September. The survey was carried out by MusicWatch, which interviewed 5,000 U.S. customers aged 13 and older. That’s a tiny fraction of the 11 million users who have signed up for Apple Music, but if the survey results are indicative of a larger trend, it’s less than good news for Apple.
It's just one more option in a sea of vastly better and more established alternatives. Its iTunes integration is kind of nice I guess but everybody I know is moving away from iTunes itself at this point anyway.
That's because most of those people already use Spotify (and likely pay for it) so there's little to no incentive to keep using it. I'm one of those people, and I honestly prefer Spotify way more than Apple Music
Plus Apple Music fucks with your own library. Yeah, this was a idiot setup for Apple Music.
I use Spotify + Google Music for songs I like that I want to buy. Oh and Google Music and Spotify are on both Android and iOS already so...
As a user said a few posts above, yeah, iTunes integration is good, but even then, I hardly use iTunes these days. I have a Spotify student subscription and I get all my music through there. That and the new music app with iOS 8.3 is cumbersome as shit and poorly designed.

It's just such a hassle of a program.

The music app on iOS used to be really good but now it's fucking garbage, I do wish they just had two different apps seeing as music apps like spotify and gmusic regularly update themselves - whereas apple has to push a new version of iOS for minor updates
Tried using this and it was just so bad, I switched back to spotify almost immediately.

I've been using Google Play for so long I didn't even realize Apple had it's own thing.
to me, the client feels slow and unintuitive, at least on windows.
I prefer to get CDs for music I really like, and youtube for discovering new stuff
I would like to recommend an Android phone that gives a better Android experience. Literally the worst thing about Iphones is Itunes

Apple is fine but they mess with the default music application too much. I don't have any music streaming service, and I don't plan on getting any music service -- I'd still rather own the CDs, rip them to my computer, add metadata, and then put it on my iPod -- but yeah leave it to Apple to make what was the core of their product increasingly less easy to use. iTunes has been a fucking shitshow since they removed the sidebar -- despite the unnecessary bloat it was easy to use but not anymore

Apple's figure (not based on a sample, but rather the actual figure) is 78% of users who signed up are still using the service. I personally think the app sucks shit but the fact that integrates with the library (as long as it doesn't fuck it up) makes it a better choice for me over Spotify. It's also cheaper (at least in Canada) and recommends music more intelligently. Logistics and integration of Apple Music + Spotify's UI and stability = perfect service.

The best ones are the cloud-based ones like Spotify and Google Music, but syncing local files with those is a right pain in the ass.
I like apple music.
I love Google Music, you can upload your own music for syncing/streaming and they are still giving me a discounted price of 5€ since I beta tested or something.
I would like to recommend an Android phone that gives a better Android experience. TouchWiz isn't the best at all. I like the Nexus line personally.
As someone who has used Touchwiz for 3 years over 4 different Samsung phones, as well as tried the alternatives (different brands of phones + replacing Touchwiz); I have had no issues with Touchwiz. I didn't even know what Touchwiz was, or that people had issues with it until maybe a year ago. Replacing it, as lurker says, takes all of 5 minutes. I replaced it, tried many of the alternatives, and decided I preferred Touchwiz over them. Samsung offers top of the line phones. Touchwiz can be tailored to how you like it. Disable features, remove features, or even remove Touchwiz all together within a few minutes of having the phone if you wish.
TouchWiz is more than just the launcher, it runs a lot deeper than just downloading a new launcher, although that's where the bulk of people will probably notice a difference.
Plus Apple Music fucks with your own library. Yeah, this was a idiot setup for Apple Music.
Plus Apple Music only works on Apple devices or via the not-so-great iTunes Windows program. Spotify works on practically everything from Android/iOS/Windows/Linux/OSX/BlackBerry/Windows Phone/TiVo/Playstation and more. + as a student I get £5 student discount p/month. I honestly don't see why anyone would use Apple Music unless they're heavily invested into the platform. Seems like limiting your choices for no real advantages bar Taylor Swift and The Beatles if you're into them.
I tried apple music, didn't like it over spotify really
I have the app installed but I rarely stream through Apple Music. It's suggestion feature is shit compared to Spotify for those of us who don't like anything remotely mainstream - I listen to a lot of post-rock and it recommends a lot of alternative rock and 80's metal, which isn't bad, just very, very tangential to post rock. And compared to Spotify I have way more streaming issues, guess the servers are overloaded or something.

Shuffle is way more easily accessible and adding stuff to your library is easier. The fact that sorting options aren't easily accessible is annoying as shit though. As someone who never properly used streaming services before, and someone who uses iTunes pretty regularly, I'm loving Apple Music. I always found Spotify a little bit daunting, good playlists weren't super easy to find and the amount of stuff is a bit daunting. But Apple Music pushes good playlists to you on the main page, and the algorithms for finding artists/making radio stations seem great. That said, I'm probably not going to continue past the trial if they don't fix the iCloud music library. I really hope they fix it, cause reliable library integration plus the rest of it would be just the kind of thing I want in a streaming service.
