If this is true, then I think my trip to Amsterdam this summer won't happen...

i bet the little towns are going to sell to tourist anyway.

Will I still be allowed to smoke in them if I'm semi-Dutch? I have loads of family over there and some in this country too.

No you need to be a registered resident and registered in the clubs.
(I bloody should be able to)
I posted this in the lounge a few weeks ago. It's a bummer, I planned on going at some point this year.
[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
If you haven't been I'd highly advise going
[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
also bye bye tourism trade

That sucks so much.
amsterdams going to have no tourists
Isn't that where almost all there money comes from?
This has been proposed almost every year and it's been shot down every year. This year will be the same.
Forget the wingsurfing.

How the fuck I could do to smoke pot?
I live in Belgium, near Maastricht (a Holland city), and I fucking need they continue to accept me...
When is this happening? I'll have enough money to go to dam by christmas but this could fuck up my plans big tie :(

Don't worry I'm sure this will not happen.

This is a good point. I don't really know anyone who goes to Amsterdam to do anything than go to these coffee shops. Hell, a few of my buddies went over there not too long ago for just that.
Banning tourists from the coffee shops will kill the tourism market.
They say they're doing it to help fight crime, but I seriously doubt there is crime due to these coffee shops. I think they're just sucking up to other countries who frown upon marijuana.
its a shame that so many people go to holland for just the weed its honestly a beautiful place
If this is true, then I would just ask somebody to get me budz.
steven668, why do you always rate my posts optimistic?
That's fucked up man, they've already closed a bunch of smart/coffee -shops, would be a shame if something like this would happen. :sigh:

Maybe he really likes you that way...
Even if it did happen they'd reverse it as soon as they realized how much they're losing.

Yeah... When a French speaks English... :(
If they do, they won't be getting [i]my[/i] money.
then the locals hang out outside the shops and buy it for the tourists
the guys at amsterdam don't like it either, the mayor said that it can create trouble because people would buy it on the street and then don't know the quality of the weed or the age of the buyers.

Well, maybe I will still go. It's a chance that I can't really give up on.
Fucking far right governments. No, the government's job is not moral control of the people. I fucking despise that social conservatism. Amsterdam police and city council have also basically said they're not willing to support this. At least one US state should be legal in 2012, but in this case its a £700 odd flight as opposed to a £10 train ride and £20 ferry.

Err no, the law is coming. It's also not just amsterdam, it's the whole of the netherlands.

we dont know the quality of the weed with current laws

Not really, it's this one minister that wants it to happen, seeing his face is all you need to know why, and the rest is just meh, lets go with that.
