I must admit, it is slightly entertaining despite this. Totally not enough to warrant many bugs dying, but still.
I've seen something like this before only the bugs were on some sort of platform that was floating on water. It had some other type of beetle vs a scorpion in the one I saw. Surprised the beetle actually won. It's kind of messed up. Leave it to Japan to do this kind of thing.

Well it still isn't a particularly nice thing to enjoy watching. I mean, even if bugs aren't particularly valuable creatures, you're still watching things die for just as much entertainment as you can get from other shows.
If the bugs weren't so disgusting this would be so awesome.
