I can't wait for all of the [sp]porn of Motoko when she gets ported to the SFM[/sp]
Holy fuck that Tachikoma reveal at the end
I really want this to be good, I really do. I've been waiting for a good GiTS-style shooter for ages.
I guess what the fuck did I expect from Nexon. Looks pretty generic. Shoot shit with gadgets thrown in.
I bet Kusanagi will be a $20 premium character with bonus speed or something, typical p2w business.
I honestly think GitS would suit a tactical shooter more. Like Neotokyo but not bland.
Nexon has too bad a reputation for me to trust them with my money.
I don't get it, is it team-based? Because all I see are the generic soldiers getting curb-stomped by the show's protagonists. Doesn't look fun to play as those guys at all.

Then again I might be mistaken, there's no team recognition at all, so maybe both teams are killing in equal amounts and I just can't tell.

Last game I played that was by Nexon was Dragons Nest which was decently fair...? But it still had rental bullshit and stuff that was obviously there to tease you into spending money.
Blacklight: Retribution used to be pretty fair however now the game sucks as they revamped the recoil system and increased the prices on everything. Also the devs are lazy sacks of shit and haven't updated the game in almost 2 years now besides ported maps from Tango Down.
I would love a GITS Story campian.
The blood effects don't fit in my opinion.

The Section 9 characters are probably Hero/Premium characters. As in they cost money but obviously they look like the cast from the anime and also possibly have special abilities or stats depending on how p2w it is. Combat Arms had them and may other f2p shooters too.
So the potential for a futuristic, clandestine-op, stealthy tactical game was completely ignored in favor of the hectic gameplay of a modern FPS. Great. Disappointing, but I can't say I'm surprised. I just don't get why they're seemingly retconning Section 9's premise as a team of super cyborg cops and turning them into fucking soldiers. Even with this approach, there was great potential for basing the game on the gritty flashbacks to when they actually were soldiers:

I don't think the developers are fans of Ghost in the Shell - if they were, this isn't the kind of game that they would make. They just jumped on the opportunity to exploit an existing, popular franchise with a shitty multiplayer arena game.
Nexon Korea as a developer sucks. But they're the most popular MMORPG publisher in Korea with great service and no IP block. Neople made Dungeon and Fighter, and Cyphers, which are both good games.
The only game that comes to mind for me when I think of a GITS-esque game is the sourcemod NeoTokyo (gee I wonder why), which, while arguably not being very great, had a pacing to its gameplay that just felt like how I imagine a GITS game might play out.
Nexon?
Oh god no, the microtransactions will be RAMPANT in this game.
Just play EYE if you want to hack cyberbrains.
At least they were faithful to the level of boobage that Motoko typically advertises.

It also looks like it's based on the first past of the anime with the laughing man arc which only had a lot of action near the end if I recall correctly.
A tight say 6v6 shooter could of been good if it was heavily objective based but I'm going to guess it's gonna be TDM all day every day.
but we already have a ghost in the shell game it's called neotokyo
it looked cool at first but then i remembered its nexon and what they do with shooters and just no
togusa didn't have his revolver 0/10
togusa didn't have his revolver 0/10
fucking christ i was going to use these exact words you post stealer.
I wouldn't mind if they kept the laughing man censorship in the game. I like details like that. But if I know Nexon they're going use microtransactions for this game. I dislike microtransaction.
-snip- doesnt make sense

This is Nexon we're taking about here. It's probably going to be $20 a month for her.
my face went from a smile to an immediate frown when i saw the nexon logo

what part of neotokyo is bland
that game is fucking sick, only problem is the gunplay is bad because it's built on source 2004 edition. Redone guns and some more gadgets and it'd be a 10/10 game.
Anything Nexon touches is instantly shit
[editline]20th November 2014[/editline]
GiTs was an amazing show but unless we see hard gameplay (15 or 30 minutes) I'm going to assume it's riddled in shit hidden underneath everything

even with that it could be riddles with microtransaction rental bullshit, as everything Nexon makes is.
Why don't people just play Neotokyo? I don't get it.
