I play a lot of games on console but the Sims isn't one that I think I'd play. That said, I did have The Sims 1 for GameCube and I loved it, but if I recall correctly it wasn't very similar to The Sims 1 for PC and was a very different game.
This was bound to happen as The Sims has been on every notable gaming system ever since The Sims released. There was even a version for the N-Gage.
"Explore vibrant worlds", more like Load screen through vibrant worlds
i wish they'd bring back the direct control method from the early sims console games, being able to actually control your sim with the joystick felt great and really made you feel like you were actually playing as the sims instead of being a floating god in the sky that tells the sims what to do
edit: i just noticed the tiny text at the end of the trailer, they used PC footage for this trailer instead of showing what the console UI looks like
Wish they would just move onto the sims 5

They still have at least 30 more expansion packs to release first.

I'll take loadscreens over 15 FPS

The thing about this argument is that they could've avoided that if they put in the right amount of effort into programming all of the stuff from TS3 back into TS4 without the loss of performance. But instead they stuck to the easy way out and made everything chained together through loading screens from a map.
It just feels like they took the easy way out really instead of putting effort into the product to keep a feature that MANY fans ultimately liked.

I mean I don't mind the load screens but you literally have to load screen to get to a neighbours house, like they're in the same neighbourhood where you can walk around freely

you mean stuff packs right
this game has been live since like 2014 and they've only released three expansion packs, the game has trash for actual content
Sims 3 still my favorite. Sims 4 is alright but what got me excited to play Sims 3 every time is to roam around the neighborhood without loading. Yeah you sit for 5 minutes with the initial loading screen but once you were in you could go anywhere.
Sims 4 is the only main line Sims game I never played or want to play. If they bring back open neighborhood in Sims 5 i will buy.
Sims 1 on PS2 was really cool because of how different it was compared to the PC version. It even had a unique story mode where you have to work your way up and move out of your mom's house.
I doubt they'll do the same with Sims 4 and it'll probably just be a straight port with awkward controls.
Ahh this console talk is reminding me of Sims 2 Pets on the PS2. I have no idea if it was just my copy or if the game is a glitchy piece of shit but my pets would always get stuck in one spot and then eternally piss and shit themselves and starve because they would never move anymore. And I think they never died either, so it was like some crazy eternal hell they were trapped in. :frown:

This was my "THE POWER IS OUT AAAAHHH" game.

I loved the split screen mode in it

The GBA ones were like that too and i actually grew up with those instead of the mainline ones. It was pretty much a RPG but based in real life.
