This does. PS. the guitar solo makes no sense and its not supposed to.
Badass, but at around 1:27 shit gets pretty wonky. The synth stuff is pretty cool though. I couldn't hear the harmonica though so turn that up.

I quite liked it.
I quite liked it.
Well thank you. Anything constructive would be appreciated, if you have any opinions about that.
I'm not going to make a new thread, but I did another track: Its an intro for A Heart Of Cold. Just cut off the drum intro from that track and this fits perfectly. Oh yeah and its electronic music.
i like ur avatar or i should say all the albums in your avatar the music, is p sweet but sounds really industrial not sure if that was what you were going for love the changeup's
i like ur avatar or i should say all the albums in your avatar the music, is p sweet but sounds really industrial not sure if that was what you were going for love the changeup's
Well, I've really listened to a lot of KMFDM lately, so that most likely has had some part in the song. Also, thanks, I suppose.
i meant it as a compliment
i meant it as a compliment
And I took it as one. Probably just worded my post badly. [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] Ps. Dick I see you've been spying on this thread for a while now, so you either forgot your tab open or you're writing a review, most likely shortly noting the actual songwriting and otherwise concentrating on the RSE that I use which you hate but I love. [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] Or he's just listening to the song, I guess.
I haven't looked in the thread since yesterday, weird that it still says I'm in this thread. Only thing I can say is that I like it, with some more mixing and you could have a really good track. Mostly thinking about the placement of instruments in the mix and some minor EQing, RSE is always RSE so can't really do a lot with that. =)
Well, the instrument placement has been the same in every song of mine, I know little about EQing and I forgot to write bass for this track.
You really should work some on mixing then, making sure each instrument has a different spot in every part of the song can really make a good song great. You should export every instrument separately like you did when I mixed your song (I assume you liked the mix I did by the way?) and put it into your favourite DAW, and first start by cutting up every segment into the various bits of your song. After that, make a single track for each instrument on all the various bits, then lower/raise the volume on every instrument on each segment to emphaphize the different instruments. For instance, you could always boost the guitar in the intro, then put it back a small notch when it has done its introduction. =) Here's a really good link for EQing, it shows the frequencies the various instruments are in, and with that you can maximize where the instruments are good, and gives you a pretty decent idea of how you can meld two instruments that are within the same range into two different entities while still keeping within their frequency (bass guitar and bass drum for instance, it can usually be a big problem to have a low booming bass and a hard-hitting bass drum together since they both occupy the same frequency, but by boosting the various frequencies you can give them both a booming sound while still being clear enough so that they don't muddle together). When you were just doing midi stuff this didn't matter due to the inherent sound of the instruments, but now that you're dealing with 'real' instruments, it is incredibly important to take your time and really EQ it, since their sonic spectrum is much larger than a regular midi. Reverb and Delay can be used to great effect to give the instruments some room, delay works best for string-based instruments and also electronic instruments such as synth, whereas reverb is better for the drums (all of it) and vocals. Don't forget to use compressor too, it can be used to great effect to smooth an instrument out so that it doesn't peak too high and create distortion and to just keep it at a good level.
