i wonder if anything would change for the people still in prison for possession of pot. Like, would they still stay in because they technically still broke a law back before the change or would they be let out "sorry we fucked up, your weed is legal now". Anyone know how that would work out?

I personally think those who are on probation should have to deal with it, and people in jail/prison should be pardoned and put ON probation.

Probation is one of the dirtiest tactics they use on people these days.
FYI they don't do it because they care, they do it because every time they test you they charge more money then drug tests should cost, therefore they make a profit from it and on top of that they get to punish you by destroying your fucking schedule and giving you bladder problems.

I was on probation for almost four good years of my life, and 90% of the time, I had to drink what seemed like 2 gallons so that the extreme pain in my bladder let me piss in front of a hairy gross dude watching my dick.
Ever since, I've had occasional issues.
BTW I was on for as long as I was because I kept coming up dirty for weed.
Its funny because I never stopped smoking either, after almost four years my PO just came to me and told me straight up "You've been doing this for way too long."

I always thought it was weird that I didn't get sent, they always threatened it but never went through with it..
As for why I got put on probation, well, its a long story.
But in short I got caught with bud while ditching school and lied to an officer.

in canada if it's under 30 grams it's decriminalized and you just have to pay a fine.. anything over 30 grams is a federal charge and is listed as 'under 6.6 pounds' (3kilos).. I got caught with two zips and it woulda been the same charge if i had 6.6 pounds.. its fucking stupid

I would think the price would go down since if it becomes legal, more places will spring up and start selling it. More supply will bring the price down.

Weed would have to priced lower than the black market can provide, thus eliminating it. The current high costs of weed are down to prohibition: risky grows, and greedy dealers.
