i'd assume that they'd take you straight from the courthouse to avoid everybody running after they're sentenced, but i can't say i have any experience. it might help if you tell us what country you're in so we can give you better detail in case someone does have experience/knowledge on the subject [editline]03:36AM[/editline] also that sucks man hope you don't get sent to jail, good luck
Yeah didn't cross my mind to specify, but USA [Ohio]. Thanks man.
Well, did you do it? Drugs (at least the green I smoke) are a victim less crime... Robbery isn't.

IE It isn't hurting anyone to just be drunk as shit, but it is once you decide to go fight someone or drive

To be honest you're not going to find much help here, DD is full of small time stoners and the occasion more involved people. Most of us won't have much experience with the law. I've got some with the UK system but that's not much help to you in USA, you probably want to try googling it or head to bluelight if any of the convictions are drug related. I agree that it's victimless in that the victim willingly goes along with it. However the law sees it as funding organised crime and the victim as the user as they are consuming illegal demerit goods.

It's like the square\rectangle thing. Being shitfaced and being chill is always victimless, but being victimless isn't always a crime that shouldn't be there
They handcuff you and take you back behind the courtroom for fingerprinting and pictures t make sure you are you. But if your important like the guy who got arrested and did our taxes for California when I lived there (He got arrested for drug charges and stealing tax payers money for said drugs) and they took him back and they handcuffed him without anyone seeing him being handcuffed.
must be pretty badass?
If you've been cooperating and have a good reason to go back to your home, it wouldn't hurt to just kindly request that they escort you back so you can take care of whatever needs to be done.
Ive been to jail. I didnt even think I was gonna get jail time for posession of burglary tools and 3rd class retail fraud, (shoplifting), but with B&E and home invasion on my record already, I got 30 days. He sentenced me and the baliff came up and handcuffed me and took me to a holding cell in a hall just off the courtroom. I waited for like 3 hours alone for the jail van to come and take me to the county jail and I got booked in and shit and then sat my time. The jail I was in wasnt too bad, I was in a 60 man dorm, and the food was tolerable although you have to buy salt and pepper off comissary. Its alot of shooting the shit and playing cards. Its like hanging out on the block with 60 other assorted criminals all day long day after day. Im glad to be out though for sure. Prison is better than jail other than the fact that youre there longer, because in prison you actually get to go outside. Jail they keep you in and you only have a workout room. Prisons are like little cities practically, jails are more like little bunk house size groups.
I stole lollipops when I was 6, and the store owner threatened to throw me in jail. fuckin' scary shit man
