"We are going to have to have our military actively engaged" with other countries' armed forces that are combating ISIS, he said. That means boots on the ground, Perry said. "I'm not trying to parse the words. It's exactly what we should have," he said. Asked what he'd say to Americans who say they've seen this move before -- when another former Texas governor, George W. Bush, sent U.S. troops into Afghanistan and Iraq -- Perry said he'd "suggest to them that I have the ability to make decisions on my own."
http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/27/politics/perry-isis-troops/
But Iraq said they don't want help, so is he just gonna bend Iraq over and invade again?
Rick Perry always looked like Josh Brolin's portrayal of George Bush in W. IMO. Guess it's fitting that they have the same policies. It's good to know he won't be president
Perry said he'd "suggest to them that I have the ability to make decisions on my own."
Gee, when a leader starts making decisions on their own I think that's called a dictatorship. But I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean it like that. Probably.
I don't think Perry is the worst republican candidate.
Sorry, I'd rather not have a dumb redneck for a president.
I love how Rick Perry thinks he has a chance at the presidency after that strong video. [editline]18th March 2015[/editline] "fightin gays and killin muzzers, im rick perry and i approve this message" [editline]18th March 2015[/editline]

wow jeez
I'd rather have Clinton become president than this retard.
I don't think Perry is the worst republican candidate.
There was that African American guy and he seemed good... that is until he tried to prove homosexuality illegal with two magnets...
and niggerhead ranch is still just a cute lil' euphemism

Lol he seems legit insane
I don't think Perry is the worst republican candidate.
Right now its this guy:
and niggerhead ranch is still just a cute lil' euphemism
His ranch was named Niggerhead before he owned it, as that was once a geographic term. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niggerhead they have since turned over the rock on which that was carved.
Thank god he's not governor anymore at least.
Every Rick Perry article can be summed up with "I want to do that thing that Obama isn't currently doing."

i love how it's still on his official channel hand he hasn't taken it down despite everyone hating him for it at least he's not a pussy about his (awful) opinions i guess?
He stands by it.
he completely misunderstands separation of church and state, which is almost exactly allowing people "freedom from religion" by being secular
It's astonishing to think that the decisions of a government in a western country such as the US would possibly be influenced by the teachings of a book full of fiction. Don't get me wrong, if you believe, then go right ahead, it's your right to believe, but it's not your right to subject other people to your beliefs.
And people like him accuse Obama of acting like a dictator...when he went to Congress for approval to bomb Syria, failed to get it, then basically shrugged and said "Well I guess I'm not gonna bomb Syria". For a while, at least. If there really is a merciful God, he will spare this country from another 8 years of a borderline retarded Texan in the White House.

The bible doesn't make any mention of immigration, yet Republicans are really keen on building a wall on the Mexican border. The Bible also says you should kill unruly children and stone adulterers and things like that, but nobody besides nutjobs advocates that. The use the bible to justify their homophobia, but they aren't necessarily homophobic because of the bible, they're homophobic because western culturally historically has been. They just cherry pick crap out of the Bible. [editline]18th March 2015[/editline] even without the Bible they might be socially conservative, some people are just "old fashioned" and against change.

Look, I bought this jacket at Lowes for $30, I'm just like you

When did this start? In the ancient West, homosexuality was accepted (in some circumstances) and widely practiced. Do you know when it ended? When Christianity was introduced into the Roman Empire.

People were unsure of gay people so they distanced themselves and beat on them for being different.

While I despise Perry, am I the only one that supports troops against ISIS? Seems like a far better target than Afghan was, anyway.

Homosexuality was much more common u Obviously the Christian Church was responsible for a lot of the initial repression of homosexuals, but it evolved culturally over time more than our current opinion of homosexuals being taken right out of the Bible.
Hmm... Wasn't the republican hard line "no boots on the ground" only a few months ago.... Either way the republicans don't have anyone who isn't completely insane or fake
I just hope Tom Cotton doesn't try to run. he has even worse ideas about our foreign policy and the guy gives off fascist vibes. I hate that many of my veteran friends support him primarily because he is also a veteran.
