I am a pathetic slab of hambeast and it is my goal to lose weight. I'm tired of being slow, and general lazy.
I'm 15, 5'11, and I'm pretty big. Holy shit, right? It's my goal to lose enough weight to where everything is in correct proportion to my height. I'm going to start running for 10-15 a day around the park, doing sit ups, lifting weights, using exercise bikes, everything. I started earlier, doing 30-40 sit ups and lifting three pound weights (Start of small, eh?) I'm going to refrain from anything unhealthy, drinks included, and focus on healthy alternatives, such as fruit and vegetables. I'm doing this for myself, my social life, everything. Seeing all these scrawny facepunchers makes me jealous. Why should I be the odd man out in life? I'm not going to be, after this.

How much do you weigh?
One of my friends told me this, i'm not sure if its true or not but if you want to lose weight around your core do sprints without eating, Again i'm not sure if this works, also if you want to gain some muscle in the process get about 20 grams of protein into your body after you workout. Also before/after pics please
I wanna join a gym, it's not that I'm fat, I'm average, not scrawny, and not chubby, I just want some muscles.
But my severe lack of them make me hesitant to go to a gym where everyone has an abundant amount of muscle.
Better off doing push-ups before going to the gym.

Buy weights from Wal-Mart, do it at your home.
I can say I got 5x stronger than I used to be in two months from working out.
I joined a gym earlier this month, although thats because of problems with my feet, nothing so noble as your idea.

Good luck, starting up a routine can be incredibly hard. I know I always fail after a week or two. Something always comes up and I skip a day and that's it.

Find a gym that lets you pay month-to-month, just in case you decide that you dislike the gym or no longer want to go. Don't sign a contract.
One of my friends gained like 15kg after he started going to gym. Muscle weights more than fat
id first like to say good job, but i have some advise, i spent all summer gaining muscle, needless to say im still fat lol, but a fat guy with muscle underneath :smug: ..... :sigh: but what im trying to say is spend most of your time on a treadmill or an elyptical, which is what im doing now to get rid of the fat, dont worry about muscle until after you loose weight
