Right-wing racists share fake missing person notice
A poster appealing for help finding “missing” six-year-old girl Amy Hamilton has been shared thousands of times on social media – despite being a racist hoax by a right-wing propaganda group.
The fake appeal uses a painting taken from a Flickr account to represent the fictional little girl, and underneath it includes the message: “It is believed Amy has been kidnapped by an Asian grooming gang.”The poster is the work of the right-wing group Britons against Left-Wing Extremism (Bale), and was first spread as if it were genuine by the organisation’s blog and social media accounts branded the Daily Bale.
Last year the Croydon Advertiser revealed that there was no Amy Hamilton, and that Daily Bale editor Steven Sodholmy believed he was “raising awareness… about the harsh reality of Asian grooming gangs”.
"Daily Bale Investigations Ltd"
:v:
Of course it's the fucking Daily Bale. This 'paper' (it's just a blog with edited BBC or Daily Mail articles changed from minority victims to white victims with minority attackers, and other bullshit Nazi tosh) is run by the guy who decided a good way to curry favour with the Conservative Party whilst campaigning was to nick something using his membership card. Bonehill-Paine by name, Bonehead Pain by nature. I've had the pleasure of being tweeted by him, though- he 'informed' me that an anti-fascist liberal account which does basically nothing but expose inconsistencies and lies by far-right activists was, in fact, the one who was lying.
I'm not joking about the stealing articles thing. Compare this Bale article to this BBC article from three years earlier, about a racist white-on-Asian attack. I'm almost certain it's a very devoted troll site, but honestly I'm not too sure.
there's no difference between a committed troll and an actual insane right-winger. It seems to me that the 'agent provocateur' method of gaining support for your party has become the norm. Look at 'generation opportunity' and 'economic freedom' on facebook for perfect examples of this. (i know that agent provocateur isn't exactly correct for this but i feel that it gets my point across better than any other phrase i can think of.)
also, i believe that if a study was done they would find that falsehoods outweigh actual information 5:1 of everything shared on facebook.
pls upvote this post every like makes a difference
your upvote could save an innocent girl's life from being raised by racist pricks

FUCK YOU
i think its insurance fraud
I think the real question is why so many people seem to memorize insurance brokers phone numbers...

TBH the fact that there's an insurance company called "Hastings Direct" with 1066 as their phone number is more interesting than the article itself :v:

Hella catchy theme tune. Hastings spent a lot of money on that particular number, and spent a decent amount of money to make a very memorable (whilst very annoying) theme for it.

You can always remember something better if you put it to a jingle.
I think the real question is why so many people seem to memorize insurance brokers phone numbers...
They had an advert that was quite impressive and more importantly had an annoying as fuck jingle with the number in it.
I think the real question is why so many people seem to memorize insurance brokers phone numbers...
I don't know about the insurance company called Hastings, but 1066 is the date of the battle of Hastings so that's easy to remember.
Oh gods, the photo of the girl is actually more scary than any text accompanying it. She looks more like a porcelain doll than a human.

1066 is the year of the Battle of Hastings, which was pretty damn important. (Hence Hastings direct) so it's common for most schooled Brits to remember 1066. The rest of it being 0800-00 is even easier to remember.
Insurance and lawyer commercials that give their phone number a jingle are the worst because they never leave your head.

If you've lived in Alabama for any length of time, you'll know the jingle just from the title of the video.

Oh wow, here it's actually forbidden for lawyers to advertise like this.
I lived in France and watched British television for a few years, 6 years ago, and I still remember that jingle.
