Holy shit, this urges me to buy all of his books.
I've watched a lot of his talks on youtube and recently obtained an audiobook of Hegemony or Survival which I highly recommend
It saddens me to think that he will likely pass away in my lifetime and that I've only just begun to truly discover his work. I'd love to go to one of his talks.

Eh? I don't get the reference :(
found this lulzy quote by googling it though...
“We still name our military helicopter gunships after victims of genocide. Nobody bats an eyelash about that: Blackhawk. Apache. And Comanche. If the Luftwaffe named its military helicopters Jew and Gypsy, I suppose people would notice.” - Noam Chomsky

Left 4 Dead 2, there was a gnome named Gnome Chompsky in the Dark Carnival campaign that you had to carry all the way to the rescue for an achievement.
Ah yes, I forgot about that!

Funny how he says that, but the original intent of the names was to honor the tribes for being valiant fighters who never buckled, and kicked our ass plenty of times. If it's only about genocide, then where is the Cherokee helicopter?

Does this mean we will name the future killing machines things like "Taliban" and "Al Quieda" ?
